Loved the ambiance; food was delicious-- shrimp cooked perfectly and that's hard to find; cocktails were on point; we enjoyed the evening, will definitely be back!
It is a very nice and cozy place for a dinner with friends. Broad selection of delicious food and great cocktails. I would definitely visit Taberna Tapas once again when I'm in Durham.

Food was great but service was poor and the $15 cocktail was made poorly. Carne empanada, crabmeat pepper and mussels - chefs kiss. Drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive (after the food had arrived) and the old fashioned had a layer of sugar at the bottom of the glass. We won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend it.
Absolutely loved Taberna Tapas! Everything we tried was great our top three favorites were the grilled octopus the bruschetta type tapa and chocolate pudding dessert. So many things to try so we plan on coming back soon!
Terrible experience, they sat us on the bar, and then literally ingored us for more than 15 minutes and after giving a sharp look at the waiter did he make the slight effort to take our orders that too in a total “whatever” attitude!! Look if you’re going to ignore your paying customers just because you’re busy is poor excuse for service!!! And the food is very subpar!!

The wait staff was great. Our server was very attentive but other staff took order info for us if we inquired about something. We were a party of 4 and ordered multiple items to share. Every item was good -especially the octopus, the bacon-wrapped dates and the steak - but the mussels were not so good. I liked the brussels spouts but my table mates did not. The wine list is all Spanish wines and there are good choices to match the menu items.
We love Taberna. We enjoy most everything we have tried. We tried a new pork dish,Flamenquin, which is a new favorite. Service is always good. Noise level is never too bad, unless you are sitting by front door.
Very impressive! Beautiful ambience with low lighting. Each dish was truly delicious. The portions were much larger in size than what I've experienced before with tapas. Red sangria was the best I've ever had! Pork shoulder empanadas were my favorite. The meatballs, particularly the sauce, also very good. I can't wait to go back.
The quality of the food doesn't match the price. The calamari was meh, as were the aracini. Most of the tapas were just average, nothing memorable.

The food is very good. The interior is very interesting and attractive. The service is spotty-it's a team process and some are friendly and some not. The bartender was very loud with glasses, etc behind the bar-it was jarring at times. (We were at a table not the bar.) That was strange and annoying.

Stumbled onto this place while visiting our daughter at college. Was delicious and the service was spectacular.

Food just was not great. Fried oysters were mushy and undercooked, octopus was a bit slimy. All tapas seemed to have been sitting out for awhile.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Taberna Tapas last night. The food was great, our server was very friendly and helpful, and the whole vibe of the restaurant is very pleasant.

I've been here many many times but this time it was different. The food was basic of that and the service was minimal
Always a wonderful time at Taberna Tapas, I brought some friends who have never been and of course they didn't disappoint. The honey chipotle wings are a game changer and pair wonderfully with the calamari and the well crafted old fashioned I enjoyed.
