Wanted a drink and appetizer so stopped by Taberna Tapas. Ordered the cheese plate and rose sangria. Great value for the cheese plate with 6 different varieties of cheese that were all delicious. We love the sangria. It was around $50 including tax and tip - great value for drinks and a delicious appetizer.

Seth, our server, was extremely helpful in walking us through the different menu choices while taking the time to really understand our tastes. He was efficient in his presentation of the various choices, masterful in illustration of the flavors of each. The food was excellent overall, and my reasoning for not giving five stars is thusly small. The inability to order a blended meat and cheese plate is a detractor, the beef empanadas were a bit too bean forward in flavor, while the Arugula & Jamon salad, Valencia Paella, and Flan were spectacular

Festival in Durham created problems with arrival time. Called and they helped us move our reservation. Tapas were excellent. Arugula salad was perfect. Sangria was excellent. As we ordered tapas came within a reasonable time allowing us to slowly order what we desired. Staff did a wonderful job. A favorite place.

Great meal with exceptional service ahead of a concert at the Carolina Theatre. Its great when the wait staff recognizes you as an occasional guest as we have been here before but our meals hear are tied to events in Durham that we attend. Overall a fine evening.

Our server was Seth and I will always make sure to sit in his section when I return! He made our food experience all the much better with his suggestions and attentiveness. I cannot wait to return!

The small plates were great. Nicely portioned. Food was well seasoned. Our server did a nice job, timing the delivery of our cou4ses so as not to stack us up, nor to have large time gaps between the courses. Definitely recommend Taberna and know that we will be returning too.

My husband and I dined at Taberna Tapas before attending a show at the Carolina Theater last night. It was crowded because everyone else going to the show had the same idea. The food was superb as always. We did not have to wait long to receive our food. The noise level was high because of the table next to us and the crowd. Our server was attentive and the food was hot and freshly prepared when brought to our table. I recommend Taberna Tapas!
