Is sad to see an amazing restaurant go down so bad. The food was ok: the tortilla española was so dry, the jamon croquetas had zero pieces of ham inside, all were ok to eat… but the san jacobo…. What a terrible dish; it was so bad.
The one thing that saved the night was our server Beatriz; she went above and beyond with us. Her service was impeccable!!

Wonderful night. Their arugula salad was crisp and the ham and cheese amazing. We also loved their chicken empanada. We will return. We enjoyed it much more than Mateo Tapas.

Food is good and delicious. But the amount is pretty small. It’s really tapas and you shouldn’t expect to be full. It’s like a snack level dish. If you really want to full up here, the minimum per person will goes to 100+. I went to McDonald’s after having this dinner with my friend. And it’s also rare in North Carolina the tip minimum is 20%. In that moment I thought I was in New York or San Francisco.

Wonderful food. We love tapas style eating. The restaurant itself was lovely. They seemed to rush a little bit. We would’ve gotten more drinks and possibly food had everything not all came at once.

Wonderful time! Everyone from my 5yo daughter to my 82yo mother had a great dinner. Calamari are some of the best around, and don't miss the bacon wrapped dates. The txuleton is definitely an experience to be shared.

Went there for our anniversary and the service was fantastic. The food was very good and served how we requested. The cheese plate was a little pedestrian but all of other plates were excellent

First time visiting and my husband and I loved it!! We will be back! Come hungry so you and enjoy every course! Lived that there were so many GF and Vegan options. Charming and quaint!!! Food was amazing!!! Probably better with a group of 4 or 6 so you can try more food flavors. Can't wait to go again!!

Unfortunately we were seated in the back next to a family with children watching a movie on an iPad propped on the table so the noise was distracting. The restaurant seemed to be low on staff so there were long waits to place orders but food came out quickly. The server was friendly though and the food was very good. The steak with chimichurri was flavorful but no sauce served with it/on it. Wine poor was generous.

Food was impeccable and came out quickly. Easy to order more dishes as you work through plates. Service was also outstanding - staff was incredibly well trained, compassionate, and helpful.

Disappointing Food, Great Ambience We were really looking forward to trying Taberna Tapas, but the food didn't live up to expectations. The biggest letdown was the $10 plate of diced fried potatoes with a bit of hot sauce. It was presented as a standout dish.. Most of the dishes we tried lacked flavor. The short rib, was served with cold mashed potatoes. Even the churros, which we hoped would redeem the meal, fell flat, more gas station than gourmet. On the bright side, the ambience was great, and the staff was friendly, though the service felt a little unpolished. Overall, the experience didn't quite justify the price, and we left feeling disappointed.

We have been numerous times and always enjoy the food and have a great time. We have a few favs that we always go back to and always try to experiment a little as well, but there is not really anything on the menu that you can go wrong with. Would definitely recommend for date nights, celebrations, or just to go out.

We have dined there on several occasions. This is the first time that we were disappointed with the food. Everything we had was over sauced but still lacked favor. Really disappointing experience because were entertaining friends from out of town.

Overall we really enjoyed our first visit to Taberna with some good friends. The atmosphere was inviting and nice but definitely far from formal. The food was quite good. Everything we tried was a hit and we did our best to try a lot. The house made dark chocolate and orange infused ice cream was worth the trip all on its own. Our service was not bad by any means but felt a little distant at times. We will be back!

The food was phenomenal and consistent with what I had heard from my foodie friends!! We had the croquetas de jamon, bacon-wrapped dates, empanadas de carne, and patatas bravas + aioli. All were excellent! The red sangria was refreshing, very apple-forward. Will be back!
