Visiting from Kentucky and this place was the first recommendation and totally worth it. The chef had my order ready in a good amount of time and the food was delicious. I got double chicken pad Thai, crispy shrimp boa bun and their chicken karaage 10/10
Good dining experience and decent vegetarian options.
You want to eat here. The food is clean and very tasty!
My family loves this place and we come often. They have an impressive selection of ramen as well as other dishes. Everything we have had at Tasu has been excellent but my favorite is the tonkatsu ramen and my husband loves the curry ramen. Both go great with a cold Sapporo (on tap). If you like mushrooms, be sure to get the fried enoki mushrooms - I don’t know what they put in that dipping sauce, but it’s addictive. Service is quick and the staff are lovely.
I come here every time I am in Chapel Hill! The people are fantastic and the food is amazing!
New to Durham and we LOVE this place. Quick service, great food and a clean, modern atmosphere. The chefs know how to prepare these dishes, especially their Pad Thai. Great vegetarian options as well. Dine in or take out, they're quick and consistently delicious.
Enjoyed our weeknight dinner at this establishment. The ambience is cozy and the staff are welcoming. We went there for Ramen in a cold night and were not disappointed. We tried the miso ramen with chashu pork. The ramen soup had depths of flavor and the vegetables were wonderful. The chashu pork was juicy and tender. But I got only two slices. I would have loved a little more of the delicious pork. We also tried the yellow curry ramen with tofu. The soup was fantastic. The coconut was prominent and made the soup light and delicious. The crispy noodles were fun. The firm tofu had an amazing texture. We also tried the bao bun tofu for our appetizer. It was a little too sweet for our palate. Overall had a great experience and we are happy that we have such a great ramen place in the neighborhood.
This is our second time visiting this restaurant. It's very convenient to the neighboring hotels. We wanted some noodles, perfect on a cold winter day.
The curry noodles were absolutely delicious! The fresh lime perfectly complemented the rich, flavorful broth. You can select additions for your ramen, but the bok choy that comes in it is so refreshing, blanched just right, not overcooked. You can pick your protein of choice. I selected tofu. There was a reasonable amount included, but the pieces definitely were not bite size, which made it difficult to eat. Even though it was messy, it was worth it. Some of the ingredients were a bit strange to me -- the mushrooms were one of the strangest things I've seen. The bamboo had a unique taste, probably a different species than I'm accustomed to. My take on the curry ramen is that it needed a bit more curry flavor (it was a little too subtle) and the spice level was well below what I prefer. I'll definitely go for thai spicy next time.
I had some of the other dishes on a previous visit, and those items were just ok, easily forgettable, but the ramen is definitely on point, especially on a bone chilling day.
The customer service leaves a lot to be desired, so adjust your expectations. If you focus on the food itself - speaking only about the ramen, you should have a decent experience.
My daughter LOVES this place!! She begs to come and every time tries a little more spice. We’ve only had the vegetable miso and veg gyoza but they’re both delish!
Excellent food and service

We got take out from Tasu for dinner and it is our new favorite noodle restaurant! I had the rad na which I highly recommend trying- it's a noodle soup that is super flavorful and hard to find at most Thai places. We also had tonkotsu ramen which was great. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
Don’t let the 4 star rating stop you from going- order the tonkotsu. Best place to order ramen in this area!!
Decided to try this place out. It did not disappoint. The crab Rangoon were great. You are a lot in one order. The bao buns with shrimp was great as well. I had the teriyaki chicken ramen, hot. It was great. The broth was amazing and the spice was perfect, not for the faint of heart but definitely good for spice lovers. The customer service wasn't spectacular but wasn't bad either. I think they just have a small amount of people working. Ultimately I loved it and will go back.

My son had been wanting to try ramen, so we decided to come here! It was a great experience! The waitress was helpful explaining things and when I told her what he was kind of looking for, she pointed out the best option. I ordered the orange peel chicken and it was very good! I love how fresh everything was. My son really enjoyed his ramen and definitely wants to come back!
