Loved it here! We splurged a little and got an appetizer and drinks, and we were so impressed! I had possibly the best chicken katsu of my life (perfect crisp, great blend of sauces, and fabulous rice as well), and my wife had a delicious bahn mi sandwich. The crab rangoons were also fantastic; they use a thinner wrapper than I'm used to, more like a spring roll? But super crisp and tasty with a fabulous dipping sauce. Definitely coming back anytime we can afford it; we're so glad we found this place!

Decent noodle shop! I came here with some friends because we were looking for a spot that could cater to various food allergies, and Tasu handled it perfectly! I enjoyed my pho and would come back again! I only wish they had more in terms of chili/hot sauces than just Sriracha, but I made do!

My wife and I come to Tasu regularly for ramen and gyoza. It was wonderful until the staff and menu change. The food is now mediocre aside from the Pho, which I will say is pretty authentic. If you're craving pho, then this is a decent place if you’re unwilling to drive to Cary. (Pho far east is a wonderful pho restaurant to eat at.) But, if you’re looking for something other than pho to eat then I suggest you go elsewhere.

Ate the beef pho noodle soup. Flavorful broth, dark with just enough anise flavor. Generous amount of beef and noodles. Lots of round onion slivers, celery. Not enough bean sprouts or basil. Just right for a chilly, rainy day.

The bowls are ginormous, meat was tender, and the flavor was just right. A little pricey, but good food.

Racist, racist, racist staff. If you do not plan to serve people of color, please make it apparent on the front door so that we know which restaurants to direct our money to. On two different occasions, there were people we ordered our food prior to them, yet they were served before us.

The first time it happened I thought I was overthinking it. And then it happened again today, that’s when I spoke up. I am not the type to pull a race card, but today we ordered the same appetizers way before a white couple who were far behind us. I was furious when they were served their appetizers before us, even though we both ordered the same kind of appetizers.

We are in 2025. Teach your staff about diversity. Plain and simple. Unconscious bias is no longer an excuse.

I asked to be charged for the drinks and I left the restaurant. This is the last you will see of me there. Learn to leave your biases at home before coming to work. Racist, racist, racist staff.

The best ramen we’ve had in Durham! A low key atmosphere that was very accommodating to us and our toddler. Fast, friendly service!

I just had the best Vietnamese salad I’ve ever tasted. The pork was marinated in ginger. The herbs were fresh. 10/10

Food and service have both really gone downhill recently. We went a few days ago and were really disappointed. The recipes all seem different now. The food was much, much more bland, less authentic, and just overall disappointing. My Pad Thai was very bland and almost slimy. The tofu used to be SO crispy and delicious, but now it was limp and bland. My husband's Pho was bland as well, and he said the meat was all tough/not tender. The service has changed from table service to ordering at the counter as well, and the people that we interacted with were less than friendly for sure. The food took a very, very long time to come out. My family all received their food at very different times. Some of us were nearly finished eating by the time others received their food. I used to really love this place, but it's not worth a return trip now. Very disappointing! They seem to have changed owners and/or chefs.

Tasu Noodle bar has changed and unfortunately not for the better. No longer restaurant style but not a huge decline in pricing considering we are not being served at at tables. Food has become more bland and waited longer for the order.

Menu is completely different. Called ahead and asked if they could still make the chicken curry ramen, and we were told yes. So we went to the restaurant and ordered it, and it was not the chicken curry ramen. I told them this was not the same thing and the waiter brought it back to me saying it was. Very disappointing. We would not have come here and paid for this if we would’ve known it was different. The food quality has gone down significantly. We will not be returning. Very sad because we loved this place, and we also loved ordering it on DoorDash. Not worth the money. Better to drive to Cary and eat a Noodles Boulevard. When we called we asked if they had been sold, and they told us no. It definitely does not seem like the same restaurant.
