Its so hard to find a good restaurant here in NC. My husband and I Absolutely amazed with beautiful experience from start to finish! We had Nuci as our server. Service was so warm and friendly. The Igloo deco was Cozy and the foods are fantastic blend of creative and traditional while being absolutely delicious. I highly recommended.

Had an absolutely excellent meal in a cute and cozy igloo pool side of this lovely art deco hotel, unscripted by Hyatt. I booked this special meal to celebrate my wedding anniversary while on a trip to Durham. There were some technical/communication issues with the reservation and the booking. (I booked a package with hotel). Janelle the one duty manager did everything in her power to make sure we were taken care of. She was polite, courteous and patient with the whole situation. There was alot going on that night including an engagement party. But Janelle made you feel like you were the only one that mattered when she talked to you. She is a true professional and understands customer service. She turned a potential scheduling issue/disappointment into a delightful special dinner/ event. Ryan our server was very good at what he does. He truly cared about diners' experience. He was always checking in on us. The food was well prepared and fresh. The igloo is a great! Cute dinner date experience or great for a small group. The igloos are super cozy with a fake fire pit that puts out heat. Again, My wife and I throughly enjoyed dinner and highly recommend this place and the igloos.

My husband got us reservations here on January 3rd! The parking was perfect for the location as I wear heels. As soon as we got up to the roof we were greeted by wonderful staff. The outside was so beautiful. Inside the igloo is very warm and super comfortable not to mention the view! Justin was our main waiter for the evening and he was 5 stars ⭐️ hands down! The great thing is everything is perfectly timed to come out. You get to enjoy each other’s company without too many interruptions which is a bonus! Hope to come back soon.Parking: Convenient

Went for dinner when they had the igloos set up on the patio. It was freezing and the tiny heater they had set up just wasn't cutting it. I'm sure they can't keep it too warm in those and we went when it was coldddd, but maybe something a little stronger would've worked.Otherwise the food was good and service was great. They took a bit long in between courses which seemed even longer considering the cold, but it was a cool experience.

Ambiance is everything here! The igloos are decorated with a a cozy vibe and each have a space heater. This is a great place to take friends or a date night to have a fun experience and get great photos! The service was good, I give them props for serving in the cold all night. Let's start with the drinks, very good and worth every penny. We had a few, one being the son of a nutcracker. Very tasty! The food. We started with the cheese board and tomato bisque. The cheese board was really good, and came with blueberries (I think) jam on top.. I could eat that everyday. The bisque was pretty cold. Which I had read in other reviews. Made me a little sad. We got the pastas for the second course. My husbands was at temp. Our main course was really good. I got the scallops and he got the short rib. We were happy with the flavor and both were cooked perfectly. Overall this place is all about the experience and having a good time. The food was subpar for what you pay. Note: you do have to make reservations to dine here, you have two hours, and a set menu.

We did the igloos for the holidays and it was a great experience. They are super comfy and private and we really enjoyed relaxing while eating and drinking. The food is pretty standard American fare but well made and we especially liked the chocolate mousse and bread pudding desserts.

Experienced the igloo for my birthday last year! This is a place to visit if you want to have an unforgettable experience. The views of downtown Durham are excellent. Can't wait to go back!

Come here for the drinks only. Service was not great. Orders were not correct, staff at times no where to be found. Came off the roof to grab a drink downstairs and was weirdly tracked down by an employee who wrongly told us our bill had not been charged only to wind up double billed. Not a great night.

Think Schitt's Creek. This is a 1960s hotel redone... Very eclectic! We ate at the pool. Food, service and drinks were great. Definitely not what I was expecting, but fun and great!

The hype created by OpenDoor was unnecessary. The app said there was ONLY ONE RESERVATION AVAILABLE ALL NIGHT! I jumped on it! We were LITERALLY the ONLY people there other than the bartender. There was not even a host at the host stand. Food was fine...drink was fine. But the false escalation of the hype was uncalled for.

Has a great retro feel of an old time motel pool bar. Durham has some unique hotels in the downtown, this being one of them. With the pool and band stage, there are limited tables on busy nights. But the band & drink special made for a night of fun. It had a menu but we had other dinner plans.Kid-friendliness: Very. There were families staying in the rooms facing the pool and some of the kids were hanging out at the pool.Parking: A few options, but be patient.

Although my waiter Jacoby was great, the fact that you replaced a DJ with a sub standard boring band is confusing. Are you intentionally trying to turn people away? I invited a group to visit and we left after the second song. You should be ashamed of yourself Patio. It's obvious that you are attempting to exclude a certain type of crowd. Congratulations, you have achieved excluding people who will be alive in 10 years and spend money.
