I want to express praise and gratitude to Desmond at the Durham Hotel. I had been calling the rooftop restaurant for a couple of weeks to try and modify a reservation for a birthday party and after five or six attempts, they had not called me back. I eventually called the hotel and Desmond answered and even though it is completely separate and outside of his job responsibilities, he took down all my information and reached out to them on my behalf .

Had an Amazing experience celebrating my fiancé's birthday. Kate was Awesome. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great spirit. Food was also Very Very Good. We had the Breakfast Fried Rice. We will be back!
Not sure who is running the kitchen these days at the Durham but they are not living up to the dining room's past reputation. We were guests at the "Friends Giving" Sunday night dinner last night and quite disappointed. It was like dinner at a friend's house when the friends aren't particularly good cooks. Bland. Kind of watery potatoes. Beef was ok but not special. Pumpkin pie was supposed to have candied ginger in the crust - we didn't find...
