I had the steak hueraches. They were flavorful and I could only eat one, so yay leftovers. Drawback, not a huge menu selection, and service was a bit slow and spotty. Not terrible, just laid back. Food delicious though. I recommend.
We happened upon this restaurant and it was a great find. The food was delicious, the service was amazing and the ambience was great. We will definitely be back and recommend it to friends and family.
Very nice mexican restaurant. Good menu choices at very reasonable Price.
Tonali is not the typical "beans, rice and melted cheese by the pound" Mexican place. This is upscale cuisine, using Mexican heirloom recipes fused with fresh local ingredients from North Carolina. This place takes me home by the way of flavor and comfort. And at the same time, it surprises me with creative ensembles put together masterfully by Chef Macias. There's nothing ostentatious about Tonali, only delicious food.
Nice quaint Mexican restaurant with small menu. Pricing is average with fine tasting food. Margaritas are very good. Nice for quiet evening with family or friends. Easy to find and try Pomegranate and BlackBerry Margarita. Clean restrooms and nice seating, but limited booths. ENJOY!
Absolute gem of a restaurant. All dishes we ordered tasted homemade. The service is a little slow, but not due to neglect. I believe most of the dishes are made to order, so they take a while to prepare. Regardless, it's well worth the wait.
Fresh ingredients and great flavor, Salsa and Guacamole were really good. Will be back to try more.
Everything you want in a neighborhood restaurant. Food that could command twice the price. Exceptional chef/owner who's also active in the dining experience. Convenient location. We've had great experiences early in the evening with our two toddlers and later in the evening for a more intimate night out. Highly recommend.
The real deal for home made Mexican food! Lamb soft tocos, tomato/watermelon gespacho, flan, chocolate cake. Fabulous
