Real friendly owner. Real friendly staff. Real good food. I had country fried steak. It was to die for it. It was really good. I recommend this place. One of my favorites really got to go back there

This was my first time at this restaurant during ECSU Homecoming weekend. For it to be a busy weekend for Elizabeth City; this restaurant serves and is cleaning up quickly. I absolutely enjoyed my meal. The food was still hot, and everything was tasty.
I will definitely come back to this restaurant in the future.

I really enjoyed it. The service was great, and so was the food. It really has that down home feel to it where everyone knows each other. I had so much food that I didn't even eat lunch that day. I was so glad that I stopped in. I gave four stars on the atmosphere just because it was a little dated but seemed clean. I would recommend it for breakfast for sure. Stop by and enjoy it.

We stopped in here while in Elizabeth city for a medical appointment. My 9yr old asked if we can make the drive there again (from knotts island nc) because she thought the waitresses were so sweet. The food was very good. I tried the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and everything was cooked perfectly. Wonderful mom and pop restaurant with great service/food. We will definitely stop there again when in the area.

So.. unless you're a local and will give a high rating just to support a local business, I wouldn't eat here.
They have like 6 mini splits on the wall lol. Still hot as hell inside. One of them drips condensation on the table, and they still tried sitting people there. ( not a good sign).
Exactly the crowd you would think. The food is straight-up soggy and messy. The potatoes were bland. Idk how you mess that up. Some say this may be harsh, but I left truly beside myself from this experience.
The wait staff was nice enough.
Kinds pricey for what you get.
No flavor except the eggs.
It's time for a remodel and a rebrand.
If you are used to cleaner digs. Stay away. Leave this to the locals who like bland food.
