I had the test for authentic Mexican cuisine and this place has mixed reviews and that should have been my warning but I went against instinct. First time customer annd never again. I ordered the Jalisco tacos and I regret I ever did. The steak was dry, overcooked and cold. The rice cold, the tortillas colds. Just a hot damn mess. The pico was good though. Y’all can do better

Been here a few times before and each time was the same. Soggy and bland burritos. The fries in the burrito tasted bitter and some other unpleasant flavor that is hard to put into words. Close to something in between rancid oil and the way catfood smells. That white rice is complete nonsense. Tired of it. Big Boss is very good, he is a fresh air in this boring town. The food is good although it is not traditional Mexican, but I understand that one has to adapt to the market and its consumers. The girl at the bar is almost always an African American and has a good vibe, the guys in the kitchen who speak Spanish are both great and well the girl who takes the order is indifferent, the poor thing but not everything can be perfect... the boss walks around the counter greeting, picking up plates and asking if everything is okay. The best of the best is that they have Dominican beer “Presidente” never remove it please!!

We use to love going to Big Boss but the food lately has been bland, hearing of a recent incident, and then walking into a mostly empty bar being pressured to do karaoke with the music suddenly being so loud I can't hear the bartender a foot away.... Just ruined it for us completely. All of the bartenders have been amazing and so sweet; they are the only thing good at Big Boss.

Really good burritos. The only knock is that they could use some more flavor, and some more heat. Luckily, those can be added with some sauce. Just wish they packed more of a flavor and spice punch.
