The food definitely warmed my heart! felt like my grandmother cooked the food. Me and my fiancé got the fried chicken (dark meat), it was perfection, it had the perfect crunch, juicy and very flavorful. wonderful staff made sure we were taken care of and checked on us about every 10 min to see if we needed anything. the vibe of the restaurant gave a very mom and pops feeling but the music being played was modern, so I like the blending of the two. so, my overall take of the restaurant was superb highly recommend eating here.

The food was delicious, took awhile to get, but it was fresh and hot The only negatives were the music was really loud and the dining room tables & floors were not as clean as I would expect them to be

1st time eating here but definitely not my last! Service and food was on point. Turkey wings were a bit salty for my buds. Mac & cheese, corn bread, fried okra-all delicious! I went for a social work alumni event which was a big party but they understood the assignment!

The food would be ok if the cook followed directions. I’ve been here 3 times and the cook ( Trish) always make my order wrong. She’s extremely rude and lacks empathy when she’s wrong for her mistake. This place will not get anymore of my money thanks to the cook. Extremely bad for business.

Garbage and Trash! Thank goodness we had the presence of mind to only ordered the sides as a test—we ordered (greens, cabbage, yams, mash potatoes with gravy, and the potato salad). YUCK, YUCK, and double YUCK!!! It’s basically warmed up canned food with ranch seasoning thrown over it. Save your time, money and taste buds. You can do better at home. .

I have Dined in a few times, food and service was great ! There is a server there , I believe it's Alexis that is EXCEPTIONAL. she's usually the only server and she does a great job handling her customers. The owner and cook are also very friendly! Only thing I have noticed is that the cook sometimes speaks to the servers really rude! But besides that it's a good place to go and enjoy some home cooked food

The food is amazing, the service is great & the atmosphere is very friendly. We have visited more than once & the food is fantastic. When in town I try to go more than once or twice a week. The food is delicious, filling & well worth the price which is very reasonable.

Believe it or not I was quite disappointed. This was my first time at the restaurant but when my wings were served they smelled bad and the taste confirmed that the chicken was bad. She gave me a refund other than the wings being bad, the service and atmosphere was great.

The food was not good. I got the turkey wings, yams, & macaroni & cheese. They all had a very funny taste to them. Then they had the nerve to charge me twice for the food. So now I'm going to have to contact them to try to get my money back because they charged me twice and charged two different prices. I can say I'll never eat here again and I will not recommend this place to anyone. This is the worst soul food I have ever had in my life.

No disrespect but it's a hard NO!!!! I had the turkey wings w/rice & gravy, and string beans.The turkey wings seem like they were boiled instead of baked. Extremely salty. The gravy horrible. If I had to score this a score of 10 it would be a -0.

I got the oxtails and let me tell you, this food is delicious!! The oxtails are tender, seasoned well and just down right tasty. I will be returning and I strongly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for the best comfort food in town. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and still had leftovers. It is money well spent. Try them out for yourself!!
