It was a nice little Coffeehouse. I liked the environment and food and drink. I had three different cinnamon pastries and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate (with almond milk) was freaking amazing 👏

On 4/9/26 my coworkers and I placed an order with the elizabeth city location the total was 65.64 for 7 drinks and it was free delivery, upon delivery the person dropped a drink in the parking lot of the business i work at and ran the trash over on the way out. We proceeded to call kraken and they were very understanding at first then one of my coworkers went to get the drink they said they would replace, and one of the employees decided that it was not necessary to replace it and made us pay for another drink. We will not be doing anymore business with them in the future.

Update: Kraken did get up with me and gave us a full refund for the order this business takes accountability for their mistakes or mishandling of a situation and that says a lot thank you

The crème brûlée donut was good. My wife and I ordered coffee. They got both orders wrong the first time then mine again a 2nd time.

I could go on and on about this place but I will make it brief. Staff is AMAZING! Austin will make any concoction that I can imagine. He has been there for a while and it’s nice seeing a familiar face each visit. There is one latte that he created and mastered for me (Lucky Charms Latte with chai). Some of the other staff haven’t quite got it yet but let me tell you…they TRY! And that’s all that matters. Well today, two young ladies put their heads together until they figured it out…and they got it perfectly! I love seeing that in our youth. That determination is admired. Great coffee, clean and updated environment. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere is because sometimes the baristas all congregate there and it can get loud which is fine…they are young folk, but it makes it hard to get work done with all the commotion sometimes. But being a mom of teens/young adults, I get it. I love this place and wish all the baristas the best in all that they do!
So much for keeping it brief!

The place is such a cool theme and me and my friend both got cookies and cream frappes with a shot of espresso they are amazing !!! They also had organic honey and honey straws and more, love it

Staff was very nice, I ordered a peach smoothie with boba. They informed me after paying they were out of boba and going to make more but it takes an hour. Then after receiving the peach smoothie it had no sweetness or big flavor. Tasted like a few peaches blended with ice.

Got a Warm Chai (I'm weird and dont like drink super hot) and they made it perfect.

I've been to other cafes that have looked at me stupid, and given me the wrong thing when ive ordered it.

But not the 2 working at Kraken in Ecity. Felt welcomed, order was made super well, and ill be back for more.
