We recently ordered catering for our Childcare Solutions Summit, which hosted 75 attendees, and I must say, the selection and quality of food provided was exceptional. The menu included sandwiches, potato salad, pasta salad, and fresh fruit, and it was a hit with everyone. Talia was efficient, and the food arrived on time, beautifully presented. It was a seamless experience from start to finish. The guests were well-fed and happy, and the variety of food ensured there was something for everyone.

I am posting this honest review in hopes that no other couple to go through the awful experience we had when we chose this real estate group and specifically Laura Roman to work with. My husband and I are a young couple, coast guard family and we had gotten stationed here in Elizabeth city while I was 6 months pregnant. We chose this realtor group based on the reviews but boy was that a huge mistake. We trusted Laura to put us in a home in a safe area with no issues and we even did our due diligence in getting inspections done. Mind you that this neighborhood and home specifically are KNOWN to flood and is a completely unsafe part of town. I can’t tell you how many people I have met in this town that told me we were 100% taken advantage of by this realtor since we were from out of town and knew no better of the area. We had to put a lot of trust into Laura as we were hours away and had a short timeframe. Well, come to find out, the house Laura sold us is in probably the worst part of town. Shootings happen monthly just a few streets over. I SPECFICIALLY asked that we only looked at areas that were in safe neighborhoods..Not only that but there were major issues with the home as far as the crawlspace, plumbing, and issues that were supposed to be fixed on the inspection report (that we had asked Laura to review since we wouldn’t be in town) were not. Due to the level of the issues in the crawlspace from moisture, our floors began cracking 2 months into living in the home. So, now $20,000 later we have finally resolved all of the issues of this home with money and time that we didn’t have as we now have a newborn baby. On top of that- all of the work completed on the home was done by unlicensed contractors and the home was not even approved by the city to be SOLD prior to our closing. Everything we told Laura we wanted in a home and entrusted her to do (to look out for our best interest) she absolutely did not. I now know that a commission check was far more important to her than looking out for the best interest of her client. If you’re thinking about using Water Street or Laura Roman, save yourself the nightmare.
