Surf's Up Grill & Bar

Monday evening we decided to order dinner at your establishment. However,
we never got to ordering our meals. We decided to wait at the bar for our table. The barmaid was chatting with another person for at least 5 minutes as we sat there right in front of her, she totally ignored us. Finally, my husband said excuse me, may we please order drinks and she responded with “As soon as I’m done with this conversation!” she also told him “it was very rude of you to interrupt me while I was talking to this person! At that point, we walked out of your restaurant. We were referred to your establishment by a friend,
unfortunately we will not be returning to your restaurant.

Service was great, food was unfortunately not. The shrimp was hard and didn’t appear to be clean, broccoli was flavorless. We wanted to like this place!

Great food and great service

Do we still have to go through the process of getting the parking validated in the pierhouse in order to eat at the restaurant? That was a hassle and honestly we haven't been back since even though we love eating there. I'd say the fried shrimp basket or loaded tots are my favorite. However, with other hassle free places to eat, as long as we have to deal w the paid parking even in the office season, we probably won't be back.

The burger was great! The waitress was wonderful too. The fries, not so much. They straight up tasted like fish & I do not like seafood. If you want fishy tasting french fries, you might enjoy them. Me... I'd rather taste the potato. At least tell people they taste like fish. I could have picked something else.

There is no air conditioning in the restaurant. It has ac, but it's been broken for a long time. It was cooler outside with the nice breeze off the ocean. Food is really good though.

Nice location on the beach and pier.

Wheelchair accessibility: Good access, not too steep for wheelchairs.

Fantastic beach front restaurant. Service was outstanding. Food was delicious as we're the drinks. I had the lunch grilled shrimp basket. Should've gotten with fries instead of hushpuppies. Hushpuppies were good too but just too much. Server brought butter without asking. True south.
