H&L’s is hidden gem! Their buffet is worth the trip to Engelhard! The people are so caring and pleasant that my husband and I felt like we were eating with family. The buffet on the day we went included fried chicken, fried shrimp, bbq, and hamburger steak. The fried chicken was so crunchy and good that we thought it was the best we ever had. Eat here every chance we get. Food is awesome! Not many places like this left anymore. If you like southern home cooking this is your place. Some of their stuff is the best I’ve ever had. Specifically the fried chicken and cabbage. It’s worth driving out of your way to eat here. I promise!
