We were LUCKY enough to discover Mattamuskeet Seafood as we drove through the country HWY's toward our stay in Outer Banks via Hatteras Ferry...we purchased a few containers of lump crab and a couple of crab cakes...WOW!!! We were so impressed by staff and then the QUALITY of the crab, its contents/consistancy of actual "giant lumps" of crab, were so sad we didn't purchase MORE!!being from Iowa (GREAT beef, seafood what? lol) we have craved it many times in the ole' midwest...upon...read full review

Family owned & operated seafood company that has the best crabmeat on the east coast (IMHO). It’s fresh, cheaper than any grocery store and you know that the crabs came from U.S. waters, not China! The family is always courteous and helpful. I don’t even consider getting crabmeat anywhere else.
