Every other time our food would be brought to us in just a few min. Today it took over 35 min., okra was overcooked, my chicken and dumplings had hardly any chicken, mac-n-cheese dry. They did offer free dessert to apologize for taking so long. I usually get the fried flounder which is great.
My first visit was a very good one so I decided to try again. I was not disappointed ? Last time I ordered the pork chop plate this time I decided on the Meatloaf. This was the first time I ordered it from a restaurant, and it tasted homemade. Usually it contains mostly fillers and has a processed taste that was not my experience at all and the sweet tea is always perfect. I'll be back before I move back to Virginia I'm sure of it. Maybe you should consider moving there...
This is one restaurant that actually makes Fayette-nam a nicer place. The prices are lower or equal than the average in the area. The quality and the amount of food you get for the price is better than other restaurants in the area. The menu is diversified for country cooking including pork bbq, chicken, ribs, meatloaf, etc. The dining area is clean with plenty of tables. I highly recommend Grandson's.
