Mellow Mushroom Fayetteville

Went there after driving 45min to eat and the hostess tried to sit us at a small table. We politely asked for a larger table and it was a problem. We spoke with a manager and she was very nice and told us we can sit at the larger table. After being seated, we heard the black girl saying she didn't want our table. We waited 10-15 min and still noone came to at least greet us and ask for our drinks. The hostess kept complaining as if she was going to be our waiter. We finally left after feeling unwanted. We drive too far to get treated like this at a place where we are spending money. We were just here last week. Tonight's experience was a waste of gas and very horrible. We are officially done giving this place business. FIND NEW WAITERS WHO WANTS TO DO THEIR JOBS.

The food used to be so good but in the last couple years it has become terrible! I’ve ordered calzones 3 times in the last year and the quality of them has been awful and the price has gone up! Twice that I ordered extra ricotta and got none! Last time it was maybe a tablespoon! Veggie calzone was so bad hardly any veggies.

Really good service. The initial order was incorrect & the lady at the bar ( ?) immediately corrected it. The food was really good!

I’ve eaten here several times because the staff is great, but the restaurant has a recurring fruit fly problem inside the dining area.

During my most recent visit, there were multiple fruit flies landing on our table, food, and even inside a drink. The waitress handled everything professionally and this is absolutely not a staff issue — they’ve tried to address it.

The concern is with management not correcting the sanitation problem, even after employees have reported it. This needs attention from leadership before it becomes a bigger issue, because the location has potential, but the dining environment isn’t currently sanitary.

Hoping they resolve it soon.

This place has the best bruschetta ever!! I also love their Greek salad and Hawaiian pizza. All around favorite restaurant no matter what state you’re in. This place is always consistent with their menu products and food quality.

First visit to Mellow Mushroom! Eli was a fantastic attentive server, probably the best server we’ve had in a long time! The food was great! Even the pizza crust was yummy! We ordered pretzel bites with mild beer cheese, pepperoni mellow rollz & added hot honey to them, hot wings, holy shitake pizza, mighty meaty pizza, calzone with chicken (up-charge but worth it) with artichokes & spinach, & 4 different alcoholic drinks (all were good). Only issue I (we) had was that the benches do not have cushions & I really couldn’t sit for another drink (FYI Strawberry Shakedown - Amazing!) cause my butt was getting sore : / I’ll bring a pillow next time!! Restrooms were clean! Will definitely return :)
