The food was great but the server/ the cashier had the worst attitude I will recommend to do to go ,

The Thai chili wings steal the show 10/10. Esquite was trash, Surf and surf tacos decent, asada was on point. Grilled cheese brirra 8/10.

If I am paying anywhere from $12-$20 per food item and I ask for something to be left off of it like Pico and sour cream why on my first bite there is Pico and Sour cream back to El Cazador it is

I really don’t come on here but I really felt this was necessary. Very disappointed that I wasted $15. The steak looked as if it was sitting out for more than a day. (Hard and darker than what fresh meat looks like). The portions of meat were small. I payed for a side of guacamole and never got it. The person on the phone claimed that the food was cold because of the time it took for the door dasher to deliver it. The food wasn’t warm at least (no condensation indicating it was ever heated up) it was just cold so I don’t believe that for a second. Then I was told to have to bring the food up there so that they can see it in order to give me a refund. Moral of the story just cook yourself for quality food.

The place is actually cute spot, you can take cute selfies whatever you want. However, the SERVICE?!!! Absolutely trash like when I tell you it’s so bad??? My first time in I walk in and say I have an order… the short woman upfront goes what’s the name? I say my name she yells out “WHATT?!?!”” I automatically stop talking… who are you talking to ?? This is my first time trying and spent around $50… mind you there is no one in this restaurant absolutely no one but me. She’s keeps telling everyone that there’s only one lady in the back cooking? Okay why accept all these orders you obviously cannot fulfill. As I was walking in she was also getting frustrated with a door dasher who was literally only doing his job… please for the sake of this business improve quality of service. I personally will not be returning but the atmosphere is so nice!

Amazing food, good service and atmosphere

More fun atmosphere on Fridays and Saturdays. Not everyone can come out on Tuesday or Thursday nights. Also, having a smooth parking lot with no huge potholes wouldn’t hurt nobody or their vehicle.

Female employee turned on every tv and then a male came in and I was greeted. My bag felt super light. I go to check it only like 3 pieces of carne asada per taco. Queso $4 and I’ve taken shots bigger than that. I guess they are focused on their night club atmosphere and a place like rookies won’t have that soon. This was $18 and I’m not sure for what.

Honestly not a fan of this place. The food is mediocre… Birria was burnt. The esquite had zero flavor. Spicy is not flavor to me… our waitress was rude the entire time. Seemed like we were in convincing her by being here. The drinks taste like they put zero alcohol.. like all I was given was cranberry juice. The atmosphere is nice and the karaoke seems cool and a hit for this place. Just overall not a good experience.

I used to enjoy going to Rookies, it used to be one of my go-to spots BEFORE they made changes to the restaurant (i.e, adding the bar, hiring waitresses, etc…). Before they made changes everything was amazing and worthy of a higher review, but I can’t say the same post-changes. I stopped going for about a year or so because of poor service on behalf of the wait-staff and the mess ups with my orders. I stopped going and was hesitant to adapt to the change, it was only recently that I gave Rookies another chance hoping that maybe they finally got a good flow going and have adapted to the new additions themselves. I’m upset and disappointed to say that I received my order (delivery) and it’s not at all what I had initially ordered. Where I had ordered the Loaded Taquitos, how is it that I received just 3 beef tacos instead? It’s deeply upsetting considering how I once enjoyed this restaurant for the food and service, just for this place to become completely unfamiliar to me. Maybe in time I’ll try again.
