Me and my wife love going here. Sushi and staff are absolutely amazing I couldn’t recommend enough.

Alright so where do I begin.

First of all, I walk into the restaurant, its very clean, soft music, nice dim lighting very easy on the eyes, but not dark. Im greeted warmly by a young gentleman named Justin, who was actually incredibly helpful, very friendly, and very diligent. He poured my soju, he made small talk but didnt make it weird. Very charming young man, absolutely a superstar in the service industry. Overall customer service has been on the decline for the last decade and this guy was a breath of fresh air. Whatever he's getting paid is not enough.

Now to the food. I ordered poke, so im sat at the bar and the lady was extremely patient waiting for me to decide what I wanted, very fast creating my meal, and it was presented BEAUTIFULLY. Fresh fish, fresh produce, sticky white rice, arranged into a delicate bouquet of flavour that stimulated my senses more than 5 gum. I havent had better service in any restaurant in this entire town than I did at the Samurai on McPherson Church. If you havent been, please go, everything about it was top tier from the location, to the food, the service, and the building itself, everything was perfect. I will be back.

Very good food but quite expensive

I loved eating here! This place was absolutely the best sushi place I’ve ever been to! I’ve been to Myabis near skibo road. This place make that place look like Amateurs! Don’t go there come to this place. It’s so much better more food bigger selection. You will not regret it. I put my entire Military paycheck on it.

Horrible... everything was but the soup was nasty... no flavor at all plus the prices are ridiculous and the cook didnt know a well done steak from medium rare, veggies werent cooked and cook couldn't really understand english😑... they automatically add the tip to the bill then ask for an additional tip👀 i wish restaurants would start paying their waiters a decent wage... but all in all, never again, SHOGUNS is WINNING!!! FOOD AND PRICE WISE....

Always a great time coming here to eat, I love the Dragon roll as it is always perfectly creamy and delicious. No one comes close. Try the Sunday Morning roll too!

Before today, easily 5 stars due to how amazing their dishes are.

I’ve been ordering from this establishment for years and always get the chicken katsu, which is why today’s order was especially disappointing. The chicken was extremely overcooked/burnt to the point I couldn’t even enjoy the first bite and ended up throwing it away.

I ordered delivery because I currently have a sick baby at home and cannot easily leave the house. I understand mistakes happen, but what upset me most is that the food was still packaged and sent out in that condition.

I appreciate the offer to remake the meal, but that doesn’t really resolve the inconvenience or restore confidence for me this time. DoorDash honored its side of the deal with a quick delivery but for nothing because I didn’t get to eat what I ordered.

After being a loyal customer for years, I expected better quality control and customer service.

Tried to order a beer with my VA card and a state id that happened to expire but my VA id isn't a government id per the bartender.
