I ordered my Detox Island Green at 07:13:50AM, I did not get my one (1) drink until 07:27AM, but EVERYONE who came after me got their cold and hot meals… and I had to wait for three more people who came in to order before I got mines. Left a 15% tip.. wish I can take it back. With No apologies or anything. This was going to be my new morning routine for work. THIS MADE ME CHANGE MY MIND. I’ll prefer to go elsewhere.

I had an unpleasant experience at the Skibo Road Tropical Smoothie today. The manager on duty, Alyssa, refused to enter my phone number for loyalty points, saying she didn’t know how. Fortunately, a polite gentleman from the back stepped up and handled it quickly and kindly.
From the moment I walked in, Alyssa’s energy was extremely negative. She mumbled under her breath that she was “so tired of these people,” rushed me through my order, and had noticeable attitude and facial expressions that made me feel unwelcome. At one point, she even hollered to another employee about stocking up so she “wouldn’t have to hear John’s mouth” later not something customers should have to hear.
When I politely asked if she could pour the remainder of my smoothie into my daughter’s sippy cup (as other locations have done for me), she rolled her eyes and said she’d have to charge for another smoothie. I explained it’s only because pouring it myself causes spills, but she responded curtly with, “We aren’t other stores.”
It’s disappointing to receive this kind of treatment, especially from a manager. The employee who helped me with my rewards number was professional and kind, but overall, Alyssa’s attitude and lack of customer care made this one of the worst experiences I’ve had at Tropical Smoothie.

I used to love this location but I will never go to the skibo location again becuase of the current staff and management. I came in to get my order and only my smoothie was in ready. I watched as only 2 people were actually working and preparing the orders while 3 other young people where just talking in the back. I waited over 15 minutes and asked about my food. It took them asking me several times what I had and asking each other. Then a young light skinned lady pulls my food down from the top of the shelf. I expressed my displeasure that my food had been sitting out and she said it would have been anyway. No concern for the fact that I have been waiting for food that was misplaced. I asked for the manager she said she was one. I asked for the corporate number because of her nasty attitude and she responded to look it up. So I requested to return my cold food, another manager came out and as I was explaining what happened the young girl was laughing and shaking her head as if she didn't say anything I told her boss that she said. The other manager stated she would give me a refund but I checked my bank account weeks later and I was never refunded. Even after she wrote refunded on my receipt. This was the most unprofessional and sorry service I have ever received. There are a bunch of young kids there who don't take their jobs or customer service seriously. The whole situation and interaction with the employees was a mess.

August 17th 2025- Mellissia Q was absolutely rude. Very dismissive. Come to find out she's the manager. Horrible management. My family always comes here. First time ever being treated this way. She seems like she hated her job. We called to send a complaint and she was absolutely rude. (The smoothies weren't even as good as it used to be.) SHE CONTINUED TO TALK OVER ME AND SHE COMPLAINED TO ME ABOUT HER NEVER HAVING AN ATTITUDE. SHE TOLD ME TO HANG UP AND CALL BACK IN THIRTY MINUTES TO TALK TO SOMEBODY ELSE. Absolutely unprofessional! SMH tropical smoothie. Do better with the management. I'll pray praying for her to have a better day.🤦🏽♀️
