First time going there and the rude staff seriously needs to take a customer service class.

I used to love this location but I will never go to the skibo location again becuase of the current staff and management. I came in to get my order and only my smoothie was in ready. I watched as only 2 people were actually working and preparing the orders while 3 other young people where just talking in the back. I waited over 15 minutes and asked about my food. It took them asking me several times what I had and asking each other. Then a young light skinned lady pulls my food down from the top of the shelf. I expressed my displeasure that my food had been sitting out and she said it would have been anyway. No concern for the fact that I have been waiting for food that was misplaced. I asked for the manager she said she was one. I asked for the corporate number because of her nasty attitude and she responded to look it up. So I requested to return my cold food, another manager came out and as I was explaining what happened the young girl was laughing and shaking her head as if she didn't say anything I told her boss that she said. The other manager stated she would give me a refund but I checked my bank account weeks later and I was never refunded. Even after she wrote refunded on my receipt. This was the most unprofessional and sorry service I have ever received. There are a bunch of young kids there who don't take their jobs or customer service seriously. The whole situation and interaction with the employees was a mess.

August 17th 2025- Mellissia Q was absolutely rude. Very dismissive. Come to find out she's the manager. Horrible management. My family always comes here. First time ever being treated this way. She seems like she hated her job. We called to send a complaint and she was absolutely rude. (The smoothies weren't even as good as it used to be.) SHE CONTINUED TO TALK OVER ME AND SHE COMPLAINED TO ME ABOUT HER NEVER HAVING AN ATTITUDE. SHE TOLD ME TO HANG UP AND CALL BACK IN THIRTY MINUTES TO TALK TO SOMEBODY ELSE. Absolutely unprofessional! SMH tropical smoothie. Do better with the management. I'll pray praying for her to have a better day.🤦🏽‍♀️

The manager on duty on Sunday August 17th at 12:00 needs to be fired. Not only is she rude to the customers but those poor employees working under her are miserable. In the 10-15 minutes I stood there waiting for my smoothie I witnessed her taking down to staff and being extremely passive aggressive if they “messed up.” Messed up as in accidentally threw away a smoothie that they had to remake for a customer before showing it to the oh so warm and inviting manager on duty. They’re just trying to make a living like any of us and they don’t deserve to come to work and be mentally/verbally abused while they do it.

I have loved the food here for years. The problem now is the majority of people working here, don't want to be there and don't care and you full on can tell. The guy who took my order today had the worst attitude. Then he half ass gave me my wrap after a super slow service, with more attitude. They forgot my sweet potato side so I asked for it. The poor manager looked exasperated as she told someone to give my my side. That same guy gave me the worst glare as he handed them to me. Like how dare I kindly request what I paid for. This place needs an attitude check badly.

Spoke with general manager dawn today with absolutely no help at all. sad that the owner is willing to risk losing a customer that comes every single day. I was told that the app doesn’t work at this location and I could go to another location. I don’t need to go to another location. I can’t go to another location, this is right next to my job. I asked her if I could speak to a franchise owner and email some type of phone number and I was refused. Cannot even gain double points like the app offers. There was no other option. She gave me besides going to another location so I hope the owner owns every location in Fayetteville if she’s losing business for her is a general manager she should want as many customers at her location as possible. Would love to get a phone call back from the owner or somebody somewhere. This is the sad thing with franchisees is that there is no standard.

**** update still no contact from franchise owner or tropical smoothie themselves. Went in there for a visit today. And I believe the manager was standing with the owner. It looks like. And she begins to whisper about me loudly than the owner realizes I can hear her and he begins to talk about a menu. Mind you this woman is probably in her late 30s and she’s gossiping. And this is who you have Representing your company

I just want everyone to see that if you look at all the other reviews, tropical smoothie replied to each single one, except for mine .

When I asked for a smoothie instead of saying maybe I can help you find something similar in taste she said we don’t have it was very rude she was an older black lady very unprofessional and while waiting she was talking bad about other employees I had to tell her all I asked for was three ingredients in my smoothie she was very difficult horrible customer service will never come to this location again every other location i go to has no problem with my request

used to be a frequent customer at Tropical Smoothie and genuinely enjoyed their products, but unfortunately, my recent experience was incredibly disappointing.

I ordered a smoothie that was completely tasteless—so much so that I couldn’t drink it. I returned to the store with the full smoothie, hoping they would make it right. Instead, I was met with indifference. They pointed out that I had come back “an hour later,” which they somehow assumed was unreasonable, even though they have no idea where I live (which happens to be nearly 30 minutes away). I found that response dismissive and inconsiderate.

When I expressed my dissatisfaction and explained the smoothie was undrinkable, they essentially blamed me for it, saying it wasn’t their fault. I ended up throwing the full smoothie away right in front of them because they simply didn’t care.

This is not the level of customer service I expect—especially from a place I used to visit regularly. It’s disappointing to feel like my loyalty didn’t matter. Sadly, they’ve lost a loyal customer

It’s very frustrating to see employees being unprofessional, 2 employees smoking at the same time. I don’t have a problem with them smoking, but I do have a problem with them leaving the front register unattended. My biggest problem I have is walking into a family restaurant and smelling the smell of cannabis, ( weed), inside the restaurant. I was so disappointed I left and didn’t bother ordering.
