This was my first time trying this restaurant. When I first walked in, I was welcomed at the door. The music was great and very clean.
I order a bunch of things just to get a feel for and taste of everything.
I had the Boom Boom fried shrimp. It was amazing and so fresh, especially with the sauce they served it with. 10/10

I’ve been coming to Uptown Chicken and Waffles for a few years, and unfortunately, the quality of both service and food has declined.
Trying to call ahead is pointless because no one ever answers the phone. Today, I got on the waitlist, and the hostess told me it would be a 20–30 minute wait, but the text update I received said 52–60 minutes. That kind of inconsistency is frustrating.
