If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Not only was it under-staffed, but they can't sell alcohol anymore, we waited 15 minutes before a waitress took our order, we waited another 40 minutes for our food; which all of our meals were cold. And this was Monday evening so it was relatively quiet in the restaurant.I can't tell you what the food tastes like because we sent it all back and left without eating.I noticed some other patrons were waiting and complaining about the same thing.I guess the one star could be for the fact that we didn't have to pay for our meal??I really doubt I will ever go back to the Carolina Farmhouse ever.

Just happened to find this place on a road trip. If you like good country cooking with large portions, this is your place. I had cubed steak with gravy mashed potatoes and fried okra. The steak was meaty and tender and the okra was delicious. My only criticism was that the taters were thin. I wonder if they were instant. My wife had pot roast which was also great. Lots of tender flavorful beef. Mac and cheese was cheesy and cooked perfectly. Had to take some with us in a box which is a rare event. If you are in the area I recommend you stop by.

Waited 1 hour and 30 minutes on 2 Carolina Burgers and fries. Waitress was nice kept water glass filled. There was another table of 4 that were there when we got there. They had not received their food either. Kept saying food should be coming. It never came asked waitress who went to check on it but we had been there long enough and left. Will not go back.

Server was nice and the pinball game was fun. Had 5 different entree's at our table and not one of them was very good. Place was busy so I am not sure if we have different tastes or what but personally I would have rather gone to a chain.

I ordered the Carolina burger (mustard chili onions and slaw is standard) I asked for no onions or slaw add lettuce and tomato cooked very well done. I also asked for French fries that were cooked to crispy. When I received my order the burger bun was smothered in mayo! I told waitress that I didn't order them to add mayo and she said that was how it came....no there is no mayo on this item on menu. She took it back (with a bit of attitude) and came back in just a few minutes with another plate and said, "Here is a fresh one". I promptly looked at the underside of the patty. If you are gonna lie, at least wipe ALL the mayo off the meat patty before putting it on another bun! I just wiped off remaining mayo and decided to eat it instead of sending back again. In addition, the very well done meat I asked for was pink half way through! Now, to the fries....they were just a step away from still being frozen. Needless to say, last time I will eat there.

Consistently good food and decent service make this a great place to eat anytime. This is a great place for traditional southern comfort food. They have a great menu with lots of options for sides - including several healthier options for those looking to improve their diet. The service is good, although it can be a bit slow at times just like every single restaurant in this economy. Several TVs line the restaurant and there are some arcade/prize games available as well for entertainment. Overall, my experience has always been great here and we will continue to return.

The best thing on my plate was the roll. Mashed potatoes were instant potatoes. Okra was cold. Our waitress was good. Service was overall good. Food came out quick and my drink never got below half way empty.

We were skeptical after reading reviews but my husband has wanted to try this place for a few months. It was clean and bright! Friendly staff. Quick service. Food was decent! Will be returning!
If I could give this place a -0. The food was not the greatest but that’s not why I would rate this a -0. The reason I would is because of the staff. Our waitress was as rude as rude could be. My father had hot coffee and instead of going around to him she reached over my husband and my 6 year old child. She could of spilled that hot coffee on my 6 year old. Then she constantly kept reaching around people to give them their food. Then I got a brownie ice cream, when she came over she kinda shoved the plate at me and not knowing it was hot I took it and burned my finger. It would of been nice to know it was hot. Then when we went to pay my mother was taking to the chick at the cash register about it and our waitress came over with an attitude and started rolling her eyes at my 60 year old mother. Then as we started to walk out the chick at the register and our waitress both were acting rude and laughing and rolling their eyes. If I was their mother I would be ashamed. My 6 and 4 year old has better manners. Definitely the shack that was there before was sooo much better and the staff was amazing before they switched.

I came in a few nights ago to eat with my fiancé and we ordered 2 hamburger steaks. i know they take a while to cook, but 56 minutes for 2 steaks? and it wasn’t even busy. Then when it got brought out to us, our vegetables were cold, especially the collards (felt like they came straight out of the cooler). and there were multiple employees in the back, screaming hollering and laughing like they were at a zoo. definitely don’t see myself coming back.

I am only leaving a one star because this is as low as I can go. The waitress staff was great but that was the only thing good. We waited two and a half hours to get our food. It never came, I asked the very polite waitress how much longer and she couldn't give us a time. We left after that, I will not be back. This was the first and last time going.

Awesome food do glad they are opened on Sunday now. It was like home cooked food. Had me talking about my late Mom. Definitely going back on Sundays. There were 5 of us eating. Everyone left happy. Service was also great.Thanks a lot
