My family and I are from upstate, NY and we were visiting Forest City on vacation. Considering we don’t have a cookout where we live, we decided to try it. The food was good! And the prices were great! Only thing that made us lower the stars were there was no dining room.. While not a huge deal we just weren’t aware so we had to sit in the parking lot on a curb eating it. But honestly what really turned us off was the service.. The girl that took our order was FAR from friendly.....

I went through drive-thru. I've never been to a Cook Out. I wanted a milkshake more than anything. I saw they had them so I said, let's see what's good. They gave me a spoon and straw. I put the spoon to the side. Tried to use the straw. Straw was worthless in the best of ways. It was spoon all day. And it was delicious.

The only thing worth mentioning when getting the milkshake is might take a few to melt a bit to use the straw so if you're...

I just found out about cookout a couple weeks ago. Unbelievably good food for the price especially. The only time I was liminally disappointed was when I didn't have as much Cajun seasoning on my fries as I wanted. They better keep paying their Cooks, this Hometown knows how to make them
