Hickory Log BBQ is a great small place with mostly outdoor seating and some inside. The ribs, pork, chicken, and brisket are very good. A combo tray was accommodated even though it was not on the menu. The BBQ has great smoke flavor, vinegar sauce, BBQ slaw, and hush puppies all on point. A family of 4 was fed twice with all the food in the family pack. The egg roll on Saturdays is a must, and the filling is truly good. Inside is adorable and cozy, and outside seating and yard games are a great accommodation for the kiddos. The pulled pork is insanely delicious. The brisket is cut with a fork tender, the chicken smokey and moist, the ribs lick your fingers tasty. The sauces, although vinegar based, span from tangy for the pulled pork, to sweet for the brisket, and creamy for the chicken. The Mac n cheese tastes of smokey Gouda, the coleslaw peppery, and the hush puppies will keep you coming back. The staff couldn’t be more helpful.
