Staff was very friendly, we stayed outside and enjoyed the day with drinks and music. It was my first time there, will definitely go back

Great hidden spot along the main road toward OBX! (Turn at the Hardee's/Royal Farms and keep on goin' to the end of the road.) It's definitely a local divey hideaway, with tons of cool and eclectic rural backwoods decor. GREAT FOOD. The boom boom shrimp sauce was really good, and the mushrooms had an unusual-looking, yet fantastic, coating and fry! Huge portion of those huge shrooms, as the photo shows. The 1 lb. portion of Steamed Shrimp was also huge! I guess I didn't realize how large the shrimp would be, and there are 15-20 in that bucket. They DO go very heavy on the Old Bay! I turned over the top shrimp so it wouldn't be so visible in the photo. Our awesome server Karen told us it would be that way, and next time I'll ask for light-to-no seasoning, because it really was very heavy (and therefore, salty). But still excellent! I never leave seafood on the plate, but there was just too much for me to finish. Google before you visit, because I understand the hours can vary. But worth the trip if you're looking for downhome rural waterside! Hubby and stepson have already been back several times on their Harleys, both for lunch and dinner. They love the hometown "Cheers" feel of the bar.

This place reminds me of our favorite local bars from back home but with a much better view! It's been a bit of a challenge to find a local watering hole that also serves food. We got to meet Barry and his wife - they were so welcoming and fun! We got a couple drinks at the bar, and ordered chicken wings, steamed shrimp and lobster sliders. The wings were huge, but only came with buffalo hot sauce which my husband wasn't fond of (sorry!). I really enjoyed the sliders which were perfect size if you're hungry but not starving. The steamed shrimp made our friend happy as he polished them all off! I can't wait to go back and have more good times!

This local restaurant is a hidden surprise with great food and great service. It is located on a marsh and has nice views of the water. Our server, Sandy, went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stop back in when we are over in Eastern NC again.

For a hole in the wall the room was surprisingly quaint and well done. Super friendly staff. Easy check in and out.

If you are duck hunters and you have dogs please do not stay at this place as they will not let dogs into their establishment. Most people visiting are hunters who have dogs for duck huning, but please find somewhere else that will accommodate your 4 legged friends.

Best little roadside motel I've stayed in. We had the butterfly themed room. Very nice homey touches, comfy bed and a scenic view of the water. What more could you ask for?

It was really nice meeting you and Donna at the bike show today but the red ultra glide was not the best Touring bike Having somebody have his family and Friends show up to pad the votes for his bike knowing it's not the best bike there like there just seems wrong Judging should have been done in a different way

We stopped over for Barry's poker run. This was my first time actually in the establishment. Service was pretty good (bar area) considering they were slammed. I didn't get to try the food but have it from a local or two that's its great. I saw many plates go by while we were there it it smelt and looked amazing. We are planning a layover for OBX bike week one day in one of the campsites one year.

We stayed a night here before making our trek across the bridge. Not only is it cozy & homey, but the locals & staff at the bar made the stay even better. If you find yourself grabbing dinner here, hopefully you get Bridget as your server. She's efficient, smart, and so darn cute!! I wish there were more than five stars to give?

This place is amazing. Mrs. Donna is the sweetest. She is so down to earth and cares about her place. Cares alot for everyone. The cottages are so cute, the bed is awesome. The room decor is a awesome touch to the cabins. She is the best .the food is amazing. We have had burgers, ribs, grouper sandwich, the steak dinner, boom boom shrimp, all was very tasty and can't wait to get back for more. . The bartenders are very friendly and always quick to the punch.

We stayed here and loved the cute rooms with a nice beach feel! we came to the lodge and restaurant needing some extra towels and some items we left at home (or trying to contact the front desk) and the server (about 5’5, very lean with long brown hair, female ) made sure to stop us in our tracks (very excitedly, like she didn’t want to be bothered), told us they were closed and stated that we had to wait until 330p the next day if we needed anything . I did not feel welcome after that. When I left the next morning the groundskeeper did greet me with a smile and invited us to come again ! The view of the sea/sound was breathtaking and the residents were awesome. Everyone was friendly - everyone accept that server.
