“The food was very good, not 20 bucks good. The salad bar was bare to begin with, got better after I was finished though. Service was great. Jace done a very good job keeping check on us. They were slow, but he seemed friendly enough. I didn't once run out of drink.“
“Restaurant was clean, service fast and food was hot and tasted ok. Everything was going well until I was asked to pay at table. Waiter asked if card or cash and I said debit. He then runs card through handheld. I noticed 4% credit card surcharge and explained I did not use a credit card and it is illegal to charge for debit, as it's considered same as cash. He stared his English wasn't good and couldn't understand. I called the NC Consumer Financial Compliannce department to alert them. Restaurants need to understand they can lose the ability to accept cards if they continue this process.“
“Best Hickory NC BBQ I've found. This place is small but great! They have the smoker out front so you see and smell it, it's awesome! The BBQ and Chicken are both delicious. The things that bumped it to a 4 for me is the service and hush puppies. The service is not BAD, but it's not GREAT... it's a happy medium. Granite they are always busy, but whether you are at a table or at the bar, it's about the same. They can be slow when it comes to service, but in no means is it bad. The hush puppies aren't my favorite side, but I enjoy some good hush puppies. They are a 6/10 here, again not terrible but not the best I've had. Overall this place is amazing! I am a frequent and will continue to be.“
“There is a manager by the name of Mike I believe, and they are one of the nicest and most respectful people I've ever had the privilege to take with. “I'm not trying to be picky here, or a Karen. But we went to olive garden today at 11 and it was fantastic. Our server was wonderful and so was the food. The only complaint I have it we could hear a server talking very loudly about baby daddies, blacks, Mexicans and Catholics. I am none of these, but she was being very loud. We sat in the back of the restaurant and could hear everything. She was standing behind the bar in the kitchen area talking to other servers. I'm just saying that if the wrong person heard her talking it would have been ugly.“
“I have lived in the hudson sawmills area for around 6 years and have never tried their food until today. “I took my family to Fresh Chef because the food was supposed to be healthy. I wasn't impressed. The pasta had way too much sauce on it & the small amount of kale was mixed into it. The salmon was good & I liked the chef's salad. They don't serve tea & that's my preference for drink so I had lemon water. My granddaughter liked the hamburger. My daughter liked the fresh fries. Might night go back.“
“Always accurate, fresh, hot, and delicious! Not a long wait. I ordered it on the app and chose to pickup in store. They had everything ready when I arrived. And all requested condiments and sauces, plastic ware, napkins, straws, everything we needed ready in bag as well. I never have anything to complain about from here.Kid-friendliness: I love that they have a play area for the kids. Also, I love that they offer and have available the sticky/disposable/placemats for the tables for kids. Really stands out from any other place.“

“Just a quick update on my previous review. Still best BBQ in town and I have been back to Peddilin Pig a couple times when Willie Brooks runs out early in the evening which appears to happen a lot. So here’s some advise if you plan on going. They discontinued sausage which is a shame because it was fabulous. Call ahead if after 6:30pm to see if running low on food. Don’t order Ribs before afternoon. If you order ribs at lunch time they are good, but not really great. They have not been coking long enough and are not fall off the bone. In fact that are a little tough. Still a must visit location.“

“Didn't want an entire combo meal for lunch, so I ordered their kid's meal... Two delicious chicken fingers, a lot of crinkle fries, a very small drink, and a package of Goldfish graham crackers. Even though it was a kid's meal, it was a pretty decent amount of food - and I saved the cookies for later. Service was good, and the food was fresh and hot. REALLY like their chicken fingers!?“
“Heard this place was under new management so I thought I’d check them out. Lori took very good care of me. She was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant in general. Got the ribs, which were excellent—tender and flavorful with just the slightest crispy edges. Will definitely be back!“
“While I didn't get a chance to take any pictures. I was here January 6th 2024.I ordered green fried tomatoes and I must say they were delicious. Fresh crispy even the breading was crispy not soggy and it actually full of flavor.I ordered something with chicken must have not been very eventful in my mouth for me not to remember. LOL I do remember those delicious green fried tomatoes thoughVery reasonable priced nice service cozy atmosphere. My friend that recommended we eat here and it was a nice choice.I would definitely recommend this little spot“
