My parents used to bring me here as a kid, now my husband and I bring our 3 kiddos! We absolutely love Asahi, there is no other hibachi that compares. Our picky eaters devour their dinner when we come here, and ask to come often.
I hesitate to even leave this review because part of me wants to keep Asahi a secret. It’s one of those rare spots you stumble into and instantly hope no one else finds out about because you always want to get a table and not wait.
Asahi feels like stepping into a time capsule in the best possible way. It brings me right back to the 90s sushi spots I grew up with in the greater DC area of Virginia. From the menu layout to the decor, it has that old-school...

First visit, and it was okay.
Server was polite and great.
Hibachi tasted good, and drinks were nice.
Portions are a bit small compared to other places, was hoping for an equal amount considering the higher price value.
Chef was fun, but he did confuse some of our orders.
