We had 5:30pm reservations to insure good service right as the restaurant opened. This is a small cozy space that I estimates could seat just under 40 people comfortably. We had a table for two and it was almost too small to accommodate our appetizer, entrees and the bread plate. We had Crab Cake and King Catfish along with the Crispy Sprouts. Crab Cake taste and texture were outstanding; loved every bit of it. The Bearnaise sauce and sweet corn puree were the perfect pairing. King Catfish was tasty as well with yummy fried Zucchini (however that portion was really small)and well seasoned grits. The crispy sprouts appetizer was actually our side vegetable and that portion size was quite generous; I loved the hint of bbq like flavor and texture of this dish. All the food was quite delicious and I would highly recommend. The only miss was on the bread. I did not notice it on the menu and had to ask for it and was then informed it would be at an additional charge - not a problem! Once ordered it took a few minutes to arrive and I was disappointed with the quality and the taste. It barely had a crust, did not taste fresh and looked like it was hurriedly thrown on a grill and taken off; this was the only distraction from our meal. For dessert had the White Chocolate Pecan Bread Pudding which was tasty, though not as sweet as I expected and I could not detect any of the whiskey flavoring in it - nevertheless it was very good. I would rate our overall experience at 4.75 and highly recommend Denim to everyone. Hopefully the bread issue will have improved by then, we loved everything else!

I will start with the positive which was the servers were kind and friendly and the food was very good.
It was a tough experience overall. The restaurant was half full, and it took 20
Minutes to place a drink order and 45 minutes to get a bottle of beer and a margarita. It appears that the staff had to host, bus, bartend, and serve. That recipe was a failure on this visit.

So lit , waitresses are professional, and I’ll definitely be back! My first impression was my best impression, in addition to it being my daughter’s 19th birthday! Thanks for making it a success!

We waited 5 minutes to be seated and no one ever came to greet us and also another couple was waiting before we got there and no one greeted them either so we all left and went across the street to eat.

Food is incredible, however the service is terrible. To be fair all the servers were very friendly, but it look 35 minutes to even get a drink. For people who like attentive service, I would not recommend. Please hire more servers bc I loved the food but cannot stand the long wait times!

Was recommended by a good friend! I wasn't sure what to expect but this was a great place to go before heading over to the Tanger center! Brought my NOLA friend with me, reserved my spot ahead of time and while service was slow it was perfect because it allowed us to catch up and review the menu! Our waiter was very kind and looked like he was running multiple jobs so we weren't too worried about the slow down. We both got the crawfish fettuccine and two cocktails. I was highly impressed by the amount of crawfish in my dish and was happy they were able to remove all bacon/pig products easily! That was the best pasta dish I've had in a VERY long time! I may have to drive 2 hours again to go back and eat it again! The ambient lighting, close but not too close seating was perfect! It sounded like they even had live music at one point. The place is small and cozy but well worth reserving a spot at! I'm not sure how other nights are but this is the place to go if you're not in a hurry and wanting to enjoy your company! My NOLA friend was impressed and we wanted to try the banana bead pudding but just missed it as they had run out! She said she would be back though just to try it!

Our first time to Blue Denim. Reviews looked good, as sis the menu. We went early and they fit us in without reservations. Nice decor and reasonable noise level, even when the place got full. Service was friendly, but erratic in speed. They appeared to be understaffed in the dining room on a busy Wednesday. The cocktails were delicious, as was the vegetarian pasta and the fried catfish with grits. I did not look at the wine list at all. Will definitely go back to try other dishes because the menu has other interesting sounding dishes.

Arrived to a paper on the door that said they were closed although their hours of operation showed open. Not good.

Visited for the first time before a show at Tanger and it did not disappoint! We had the gumbo, crab cakes, and banana pudding. Everything was absolutely delicious and good serving sizes. Our server was attentive and provided great drink recommendations. We'll be back to try more of the menu!

Delicious crawfish beignets and the crab cake and banana pudding were also delicious.

Great place to get to know another person on a date night or small family dinner. The food was awesome and seasoned well, Appetizers were on point. Try the shrimp and grits. The complaint was when my daughter asked for Garlic Bread to go with her pasta. GOOD BUT at 5 dollars a triangle WTF. We are talking about sliced diagonal and toasted bread style. 20 bucks for bread. They will never get me again. When the server said we charge $5 for bread, sure no problem, But when I got the full bill. I Smiled, Paid, Tipped and went Back to Texas.
