Take out | Dinner | $20-30 Listen ... I have experienced the hype! My partner and I both ordered oxtails; rice and peas, cabbage, and fried plantains were included. The order was placed around 8:20 p.m. and was received around 9:10 p.m - Completely reasonable for authentic Jamaican takeout. When we entered the waiting area to pay, they were well packed with customers. The restaurant smelled amazing throughout the parking lot and inside. Many authentic drinks available to purchase, from personal 20oz to liters. The waiting area was on the smaller side, with a few seating available. Their dining room has been closed for some time as well, which I do find an inconvenience. While waiting for your order, do listen out for your name or order number to be called. Personally, I recommend ordering ahead and setting a realistic expectation regarding wait time; at-least 30 minutes. Our drive home was roughly twenty minutes away and the food remained its temperature. It was phenomenal! Everything served was cooked perfectly. First time trying plantains, and oh were they yum! Definitely order yourself a side of beef patty. It has the great amount of spice to it. I was very impressed with this visit and hope to be back soon. You will have some difficulty finding spot.

Wait until the end! How does it look? The chicken wasn't dry, but wasn't juicy either. It's right there on the edge of maybe sitting out. Then to add to the mystery, wasn't even warm. You could tell it at least was grilled, but the jerk taste wasn't about anything. I tasted the grill more than the jerk. There was a sauce on the side in a little cup, but it wasn't anywhere close to jerk. For the kicker, I always do no tip when I 1st visit a restaurant & I do takeout. Here's what the cashier did, I selected no tip, but I noticed the screen wouldn't close. She asked if I wanted a receipt, I said no since I ordered online & it gave me a receipt then. I knew something was up by the feeling I got when I walked away. HOW ABOUT A 20% TIP ADDED TO MY PURCHASE WHEN I SELECTED NO TIP AT CLOSE OUT! FORGET CARD COMPANY, I'M REPORTING LEGALLY! BE CAREFUL WHO YOU PLAY GAMES WITH! I'M NOT CRYING(20%=$2.99) ABOUT THE TIP, BUT A THEFT!

Best Jamaican food in Greensboro. My husband gets beef stew. I get either jerk and curry chicken or the oxtails. I would add some photos, but our food is gone.

If I can eat rice and peas without the oxtail gravy. That is the test, and yes, it was good. I highly recommend ordering online about 45-1 hr in advance. They are very very very

The food here is great, but the staff is sometimes pretty rude. Call ahead if ordering online to confirm the order was received, as they sometimes close without notifying anyone and you end up ordering online and traveling for an hour only to find out that they're closed via a sign on the door.Whenever I've gotten food here, I typically get the Jam curry wings, curry chicken, stew chick, and curry goat along with chicken patties and beef patties. Those are all amazing, agreeable by everyone I know who's had them. The fish fritters are also very good.Honestly, this is the best Jamaican food I've found in at least a decade.I find the food is generally good enough to risk bad service, but I definitely call after placing my orders to confirm there will be something to pick up.

I've been eating here since 2015. I wish they would reopen their dining area again. It's been closed since covid. Just ate there last night, & I was surely not disappointed. Over the years I've occasionally gotten a little attitude from someone on the phone and in person but not enough to keep me away.

Food is great. Planned on having dinner before a show at the Greensboro Coliseum. When we got there, we found that the dining room was closed. They are doing take-out only! Would have been nice to know this. It was not showing on the website!

Real Jamaican Cuisine from Portland, Jamaica. My favorite oxtail, beef patty, and BaBa Roots drink. The service was very friendly. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with reggae music playing in the background, creating the perfect ambiance for enjoying authentic Jamaican dishes. The oxtail was tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection with a rich gravy that had me coming back for more. The beef patty was delicious, with a flaky crust and a spicy filling that hit all the right notes. And the BaBa Roots drink was the perfect accompaniment, with its unique blend of herbs and spices that cooled down the heat from the spicy dishes. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and already planning my next visit to indulge in more of their mouthwatering offerings. If you're looking for a taste of Jamaica in the heart of the city, this is the place to be.

This is definitely not fast food. Make an order with intent to pick up in 1.5 hours, this will reduce your annoyance with the wait. I think the owner would benefit from a buffet style approach. It will definitely reduce the congestion and wait times.I love the food. The oxtail, red snapper, rice, cabbage, and plantains are good. Service and atmosphere can be a bit inconsistent depending on how busy they are.

Service is slow as ever. I didn't order because of the hour wait before we got to the counter. They need to open up the dinning area again, if they going to have long waits like that. I just ordered patties so I could leave out of there. My godmother ordered oxtail she said it was tuff and they took even longer to give her plate. Then when we drive off we got a phone call saying her food was ready. She had already got her food, they need to get it together. I was hoping we had a good experience but we really wanted to sit down and eat. We was in town to visit a family member who was in a rehab and didn't want to eat at the rehab. Not the greatest experience.
