First impression as you walk in, or look at images of the menu: AUTHENTIC! First impressions when you bite into your food: They nailed the first impression!
I had the lingua, tripa, pez, and Pastor tacos. My family had the California burrito, chicken and beef tacos, and the Enchiladas Mexicanos with mole and salsa verde. We also added a side of guac and chips.
Guac: thin mixed avocado and perfectly sized chunks mixed in with the tomato and seasonings. An absolute...read full review
Cannot recommend this restaurant.
Nor will I be returning.
In 2012 this place use to be good. Not sure what happened.
Flavorless. The meat is so dry it’s hard to swallow. If there was sauce inside this “enchilada” it would be so much better.
All plates come with rice, refined beans, salad and sour cream. All I wanted was rice, and I still have to pay for the things that are not on my plate (salad/sour cream).

Great experience at El Camino Real tonight! I ordered the (four) taco (Tuesday) special, half asada and half carnitas. Pretty amazing, highly recommend! 🌮

El Camino Real Mexican Grill is a charming hidden gem that serves authentic Mexican food. The restaurant may look small from the outside, but the warm welcome and quick service make it a great place to enjoy a flavorful meal. The salsa is fresh, and the chips, salsa, and queso are excellent. The pollo con chipotle is a standout dish, and the house hot sauce adds a nice kick. Many dishes are succulent, with the tripa crispy and flavorful, and the lengua melting in the mouth. The enchiladas Mexicanos with mole and salsa verde are so good that they’re hard to stop eating, even for those who usually don’t like mole sauce. The California burrito is delicious, with perfectly balanced ingredients, a good amount of heat, and a sweet cream sauce. The chicken is hand shredded with large chunks and thin pieces that soak up all the flavors. The menu offers a great variety, and everything is fresh, tender, and tastes amazing. Despite its modest appearance, the service is excellent, and the food exceeds expectations. This spot is highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Mexican food in the area.
