I ordered 3 lunches to go, when I got home I only had 2 orders. Later that day I went back. I didn't have to say anything, he remembered me and was so apologetic. He even gave me more food. In my opinion, that's the way to run a business and keep customers coming back because that's exactly what I will do. And the food was delicious!
Always the best experience and the food is amazing every time!
Placed a delivery order online. Arrived hot and on time. Portions were small for what we paid. $44 dollars with store delivery, it came to $63. Update: Thank you for the response, higher prices + $19 in fees + tip. Wasn’t a value for us. Rated overall 7/10.
Great food, awesome employees and a clean atmosphere. Travel from Rural Hall just to eat from here.
I only order my Chinese food from here. Honestly until I found Golden Wok I stopped getting Chinese take out because it was so awful and bad from other restaurants. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I bought soggy sesame chicken from other places.
I do lived about 20 mins from Golden Wok so I order my sesame chicken extra crispy and they have huge egg rolls. So good. Just go.
Amazing! Always consistently tasty food🍽. They have great service and clean restaurant.
Best Chinese in GSO...can be fairly busy after five, but it's worth the wait. Never had an issue with the food or service. The only takeout Chinese restaurant I've gone to over the last 10 years.
Great food
Just like the other reviewers have said, this place slaps. It’s not on the menu but when I walked in and asked if they could do sesame tofu, the man at the counter instantly said yes and asked if I wanted the combo. I asked what was in the combo and he said fried rice, no egg, and he could give me a spring roll instead of an egg roll if I wanted. He knew exactly what I was after. Combo meal(which was huge) ended up costing me just under $14. As a LA girl, this was an amazing deal.
I’m currently eating and writing a review because the food is so delicious that I felt I needed to share my thoughts quickly. I’m having chicken lo mein, and it’s absolutely fantastic. The staff is very friendly, and the place is so clean. I think I’m going to love this place and will definitely come back!

Very disappointed! The food is not the best I ever had but it is fresh. The restaurant is clean, and the service is professional.
The pricing is the reason for my two stars.
I ordered one large Wonton soup and one large Wonton broth only (no Wonton, no pork meat), and they charged me full price for both. I asked for two small packages of fried noodles they wanted $4.60, (no thank you.) In total that would have been over $25 for two containers of soup.
When I called to question the price of the broth, there was no hesitation in the full price charge. I won't be returning to this restaurant, the prices are outrageous!!!

My friend picked us up dinner. She got the spicy shrimp and broccoli with Lo mein and I got the sesame chicken with fried rice. The lo mein, Shrimp and Chicken were all good. The rice was hard and needed to be cooked longer. They came with Egg rolls which were both delicious.

By far, the best Chinese take out in town. The best egg rolls and teriyaki chicken. We have gotten take out more times than I can count here, and never have we been disappointed with service or food.

I’ve tried almost everything on the menu here, and it’s all fresh and delicious! My go-to dish is the Kung Pao Shrimp with white rice, paired with a shrimp roll on the side. The Moo Goo Gai Pan is another favorite of mine. And don’t even get me started on the lo mein or the boneless ribs—they’re incredible. The soups are amazing too, especially the egg drop, which is just on another level. You can’t go wrong with the dumplings, whether pan-fried or steamed—they’re so tasty. Beyond the food, I also want to give a shout-out to the friendly team at Golden Wok. They’re always helpful and welcoming, and I see how hard they work every time I come in for my family’s order. Thank you for introducing us to your food and culture—we’re hooked!
