Breakfast was good. Plentiful food. Sad that they didn't have liquor for mimosas or Bloody Mary's.

We had a great visit to Jake's Diner in downtown Greensboro. The service was fast and efficient and the food was great! We'll be back and I recommend you stop by if you're in the area.

I was visiting NC and found Jake’s Diner on Elm Street. I was impressed 1st by the cleanliness. Secondly our waitress Sybil was attentive & friendly. The food was great also. A great place to come for a variety of breakfast, lunch or dinner selections.

I was served by Brianna, I can’t believe how awesome the experience was and how knowledgeable she was. I tried the country fried steak special and it was amazing. Will be asking all my friends to come to see Brianna and also try the specials! Also the drinks are great at the end of the day!

Called in my order and my eggs weren't cooked the way I wanted.
I love Jake's Diner me and my sister have breakfast once a month there at Drawbridge or Battleground. My first time on S. Elm St. The waitress Sarah had a very bad attitude. There was hair in my eggs I opened up the container to show her. She asked did I want a refund I said yes. Se walked around and never once came back to me for the refund. I had to ask the other waitress who had great customer service what was going on I will never go back to that location again.

We are regulars at Jake's on battleground and used to frequent this downtown location when we lived downtown. Just came for brunch, Saturday morning at 11am, there was 2 tables sat. Which I thought was weird as it's Saturday morning. We were sat right beside one of the only other tables, we sat for almost 10 mins with no water and no acknowledgment from the two servers working. As a long time service industry veteran, this was unacceptable. We got up and left and a waitress said, have a good one. That's why no one is there on peak breakfast time, terrible service.

I have no clue why I am the only person sitting here eating breakfast, but I am.

Prices are awesome, menu is varied, my waitress is efficient and friendly and the kitchen had my breakfast out in under 5 minutes. I don't know what it's like if it's ever busy, but 5 minutes is pretty quick.

So if you're ever poking around on South Elm Street in downtown Greensboro, give this place some love!!

So I decided to stop at Jake's this morning for breakfast, because I was there. A week ago and had such a great experience. I wanted to bring a buddy of mine and let them experience it as well. Boy, did I pick the wrong day to come to Jake's? I ordered blueberry pancakes, which came out with just frozen blueberries plopped on top of pancakes and tasted like they'd been in the freezer for a while. I then followed that up with just in order of regular pancakes, and those came out. So hard. Maybe I just came on the wrong day. And the service was less than stellar. I'm gonna chop this one up, to wrong day wrong time

This is such a hidden gem! I stopped here after visiting the museum around the corner for some lunch with my two children and we were all pleased with our meals! The prices were very affordable and the service was very quick. Our waitress was very helpful and sweet!

Jake's is always amazing. We always attend as a group of at least 10 or 12 and the service is always amazing. The salads are fresh and more than enough for the price. I had the Philly cheese steak... I added lettuce and it was good! The steak could have been seasoned a bit more but overall I would order it again.
The one thing that is a con for me was the parking. I am not use to paying 10.00 to go eat at a diner.

Good food, good prices, good service.
Classic American diner, can’t go wrong. Wish the inside looked more like a classic diner but it’s a good vibe.

It’s basic traditional food - nothing special. It’s not something I would rush to go there however the prices are reasonable and the food is satisfactory

Placed a order by phone at 5:45. I arrived at 6:10 to pick up.I get here and the order wasn't placed because I didn't pay over the phone. If someone had told me that before hand it would be different. I've been here before and didn't have to do that.
