“We came for a buffet during Ramadan, and we come often for Shawarma sandwiches around lunch. Not only is the environment friendly, and the community atmosphere present, but the food is always impeccably cooked. It is delicious and the serving portions are very generous. The price is absolutely manageable even for a large family or group, and I would highly recommend this restaurant and the bread that they produce to anyone in the greater Greensboro Triad area. Thank you to everyone who made this buffet so successful. I’m so grateful to have you all in our community!“
“We just happen to be downtown and looking up good Mediterranean restaurants and found this! When you walk in, you can place your order which is very convenient. I had the Mediterranean salad with gyro meat. We split the falafel which was amazing, and a kafta wrap. The salad had a lot of fresh herbs on it, which I really like. The wrap wasvery tasty, although a bit dry, as well as the gyro meat. They make their baklava in house which they were out of when we came in, but maybe another time. Parking is a bit of a pain because it’s downtown. Good place to check out!“
“I'm not sure how I've overlooked this place for so long. I've eaten at several different restaurants with similar cuisine, but this is by far the best I've had in the area. First impressions was that it is super quaint and charming when walking in and I was greeted promptly with a smile and genuine hospitality. I didn't take a look at the menu very long and decided to go for the falafel wrap. My oh my! This is the absolute best falafel I've had in the Greensboro area. It's not dry like some places, and the hot sauce adds the perfect kick to balance with the other ingredients. I stumbled on this place by accident, but I will be a returning customer for sure. I visited around lunch time and I was the only customer which is shocking for the quality of food. I highly suggest anyone and everyone visit for the food and hospitality.“
“Oakcrest has been my go-to, sit-down-&-relax, meal place since 2016. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Food is like "home-cooked." It's not gourmet, but "down-home" in quality. A lot of the diners are long-time customers, and many know each other.“
“Ghassan's has the best Philly Cheesesteak in Greensboro! Also with great Mediterranean options, Ghassan's has a diverse menu and also has great service. Atmosphere is pretty lively and there's always a sizeable crowd at lunch hour. An established entity in Greensboro for many years, Ghassan's will hopefully live on in the Gate City for years to come.“
“I enjoy being here at shish house very much. The people here are very friendly and kind. They gave me some free tea while I was waiting which was very nice. The food is very healthy and unprocessed. The ingredients are freshly prepared and delicious. The lunch sandwiches are such great value. I usually get that because I was alone but if I bring more people I would love to order more food as i see whats on the other tables looks and smells amazing. I think the atmosphere is very relaxing and pretty with good vibes and energy. I hope to return soon!“
“I have a confession, despite the wide love for this restaurant, my visit last week is the first time I have ever gone. But not my first time at Jerusalem Market! I live very close to their original location out toward Sedgefield, and it's always a tasty place to stop in for fresh food. I also have no shortage of great middle eastern and Mediterranean type foods near me, so going all the way to downtown to eat just isn't something I need to do. That said, I was meeting my pop for lunch in downtown, and we both decided to give this place a shot. It's a great cafe downtown with an excellent location, situated on Elm street with several other choices. The food is made fresh to order, so unless you order something served cold, just keep in mind there's a 15-20 minute cook. This is not something I mind of course. I ordered the Armenian wrap, which is beef tenderloin with provolone, baba ghanouj, yogurt sauce and spices in one of their flatbreads. Comes with Z'atar chips, and I added a small cup of hummus for an upcharge. Personally. I'd like to see hummus come with those chips as part of the price, but it wasn't too bad. For a downtown cafe serving high quality food, prices here are reasonable. The flavor was definitely on point! Texture was excellent too, from the doughy pull of the flatbread, to the creamy sauce and baba. It was great. The Za'tar chips were crispy and spiced nicely. Dipping in the hummus, great combo. I had water to drink, but keep in mind all other beverages are bottled or canned. Dad got a nice fresh salad, chunks of feta and a chicken kabob and also enjoyed it. Overall, excellent healthy option downtown, a very nice cafe run by friendly people.“
