Piedmont Triad International Airport

This airport is amazing! We use it often. It's never crowded, relatively quiet, easy to park, TSA is fast. I'm trying to find any cons...oh, I guess there is one con and that's that there aren't a ton of direct flights. To get to the West you generally connect through Dallas.

Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Wonderful Staff and an overall pleasant experience.

I have a bad experience at the PTI airport this morning. I cleared my pockets and there was nothing in my pockets or shoes. I was patted down front and back moreover the officer made me take off my shoes for absolutely no reason. I cooperated and the officer found nothing. No apologies or regrets. Very unprofessional PSA officer. I complained to a supervision. I was told this happens for any reason. I felt very bad when I saw Caucasians passing without any inconveniences. That any reason I understood was somewhat discrimination of people americans with foreign names. I am taking this seriously and i f this is not corrected will go to a higher management. I'm not flying out of GSO in the future.

Parking was easy and the walk was not too far. We had a delay because of issues with the plane. They did give out snacks for the customers while waiting for departure. The CSR were friendly and helpful. We flew Delta but will not be utilizing this airport in the future.

I have flown through Piedmont Triad International Airport several times. I have flown using different airlines & the attendants are always friendly & knowledgeable. There is usually no wait at the TSA checkpoint even though PreCheck does not have a separate line.

While the airport is small it has great shopping & restaurants. Usually the last flights come in around midnight to 1 AM daily. During busier times like holidays there are several more daily flights & they can be much later.

There is also usually no shortage of prearranged transportation like Uber & Lyft available to take you to hotels etc.

In conclusion, I'd highly recommend using this airport whenever possible.

Workers here is amazing people: i have lost my garbage 2 times in 5 years and they always help me to find it. 5/5!

I've lived in Raleigh for decades and always flew in and out of RDU; however, this past weekend I was trying to return to RDU from DCA and all flights were canceled. I was able to get a flight into GSO instead and it was my first experience at this beautiful, clean, and efficient airport. It didn't have the super long lines, or backed up traffic for dropoffs and pickups, or all the noise and hustle and bustle that comes with RDU. The staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant. I was having a terrible day of flight cancellations and delays due to weather and finally arrived safely in GSO, only to lose my wallet :( Once I realized I lost it, I returned to the airport and the most kind, angelic lady from luggage lost and found helped me by personally escorting me to the onsite police who had my wallet that had already been turned in to them. It was a long and frustrating day that could've been even worse had I not recovered my wallet. Thanks to the customer service and genuine kindness from the GSO staff and police, my day was much better! I wish I had gotten their names so they could be appropriately recognized somehow for going above and beyond to help a complete stranger! I can't thank them enough!!

Be very careful departing early and arriving late. 4hr delay leaving in the morning. Return flight arrived on time and had to park on runway for hours due to not enough staff to unload 3 planes at once.

no matter how late your flight gets delayed, get to the airport and through security by 9pm to be safe. they close down a 930. Other than this one bit, nice airport.

A great 👍 airport to visit

Been sitting on the tarmac on a Delta flight from Atlanta for an hour and 45 mins while it sprinkles rain outside. Jet bridge crews too afraid to let us off the plane due to lightning. There are no lightning rods on the jet bridges? No lightning rods anywhere at the airport?? Or imagine to think a jet bridge was properly grounded! Lightning can strike anywhere at anytime, the risk is everywhere whenever it rains. I’ve never heard of a jet bridge crew getting struck by lightning. Never had this experience in nearly 30 years of flying. How is it that GSO is under-equipped in this situation. Heaven forbid if someone actually has a medical emergency on this plane and GSO won’t let people off the plane out of fear.

Great travel in and out. Easy layovers in Raleigh and Charlotte.

No low cost airlines at this airport. Need a airline that has direct flight to ROC. Tired of AA and their hub airports. CTL is awful to navigate. However AA flights to ROC are always full.

Like many others in the Greensboro area, my last flight was out of Raleigh-Durham. I went to PTI today to take a cousin to catch her flight back to Pennsylvania. I was pleasantly surprised at how modern and accessible the PTI airport is! Clean, spacious, and very helpful, knowledgeable staff to assist. There are also more airlines based at PTI than I remembered. I will definitely consider PTI for my next flight.
