Rio Grande Kitchen & Cantina - Friendly Location

Last Friday, my family and I visited your establishment. We were assigned a table with a direct view of the kitchen, allowing us to observe some of the food preparation and handling.

Unfortunately, my wife noticed something very concerning: the manager was packing the food and, during the process, spat in his hand before continuing to handle it. We consider this behavior extremely unhygienic and a serious violation of basic health and food safety standards.

I am sharing this situation with you in the hope that it will be investigated and that appropriate measures will be taken to prevent something similar from happening again.

I highly recommend Rio Grande! Our server was fantastic, incredibly quick, attentive, and she made one of the best mojitos I've had in a long time. The restaurant was clean with a great atmosphere, and the food was delicious.
I'll definitely be back!

Great Mexican restaurant, friendly staff, great atmosphere, can even sit outside on patio. Guacamole fresco outstanding, Fajitas are delicious, spice margaritas mmmmm, can't go wrong here.
I do have a request of owner, please please add Lengua to menu!!!!

Well, the waitress was very I can’t say rude but obnoxious she would cut off my partner as he was placing an order or trying to place order for drinks. She would lean over and asked me if I wanted to drink instead of just listening to him she stated to him that he was drunk, which he was not. Yes he had been drinking and maybe she smelled alcohol, but he was not drunk. She was not attentive in the back-and-forth to make sure that we were OK or that our food was OK. Our food arrived. He ordered the fajitas and it arrived sizzling but burning it was burning. I could smell it when it came to the table and I immediately tried to start moving it around so that it wouldn’t burn or the food wouldn’t stick and it was already burnt. It was scorched the food smelled and tasted scorched. We reported that to the waitress as well and basically she stated there was nothing she could do about it so we ended up paying for scorched food. I really didn’t like there was no one there no one there so we went in believing that we would have the best of service because there was no patrons at all and it was around 8:30 PM. There were no patrons and we expected to get great food because the cooks had no one to cook for but us, but food was overcooked burnt scorched. The service wasn’t well I expected a lot more.

Good Mexican in an out of the way location. Wasn't crowded when we were there at around 6pm. Portions were large, and everything was good.

Our server had a terrible attitude. We tried to be kind, but this really ruined the dining experience. It’s sad because the meal was good. I doubt we will be back.

Food was good , came out pretty fast. Service was excellent. It did cost about 65 dollars for two, however that was with one Margherita and dessert.

I had an horrible experience here, the food was disgusting. I ordered a steak fajita quesadilla and it was full of grease to the point where it was inedible. My rice had hard spots as well; the waitress was not helpful because she said that’s “how it comes”. My fiancé got an ACP and it was trash as well. I do har pictures and would not EVER recommend this place to anyone.

This was probably the biggest plate of nachos I have ever had!! Beef and chicken. Everything was full to the brim on the plate. And it was good too! I will most certainly come back to this place and try other things on the menu! The price was well within reason for such a hearty plate.
