This is a great place to get comfort food! The service is fast and everyone is very welcoming. They also have reasonable prices. I do not live in Greensboro, but if I did this would be my go-to spot!
The pulled pork plate was good. The pork was a little dry, but not bad. I enjoyed the hushpuppies. The collard greens were overcooked. I personally was not a big fan of the barbecue sauce selection. I am used to sauces that are thicker and cling to the meat.
I have been eating Stamey’s since I was 4 years old, now 71. I grew up in Greensboro and it was always a treat to go to Stamey’s drive in then and order our BBQ and have it brought out to the car. I live in Surfside Beach SC now and always try to get by there when I am in town. Now you can order it all on line except that awesome Cole slaw. It is the best BBQ anywhere.
