Last night we had a wonderful meal at Marisol. Food and service are simply the best anywhere. The menu selections are all so enticing it makes decisions difficult.

O. M. G. if you haven’t eaten here you have missed the best thing about the Grandover Resort area. I had an appetizer and couldn’t finish it. It killed me because of how good it was. Staff is spot on and food is amazing!

The food was excellent, and in the right environment the price would make sense. However, the restaurant did not feel clean. The ceiling tiles were a mess, the service was friendly but way too casual for 5 star food. Dinner for two was just shy of $300 and we only had one cocktail and no wine. Apps, soup and entree and 1 drink each the bill was $300. Atmosphere fell more like a diner.

We enjoyed watching the chefs prepare our meals from the dining room. Wonderful appetizers, great selection of wine by the bottle. I ordered the duck, very crispy skin but beautifully cooked meat. The staff was very attentive keeping our glasses full and providing us with a variety of fresh breads. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable on all the menu offerings.

The Atmosphere was not the best. We were seated close to the door with the table half on a brick wall and half on a window. I felt crowded. There were empty tables toward the back that were not as crowded. The food was overpriced. The steak was not juicy it was on the dry side. I ordered lamb fully cooked and when I got the plate the first time it was still rare inside. They took the plate and brought back the same plate with the same lamb and sides. They had barely cooked the lamb as it was still med-rare inside. They took the plate back a second time. They brought it back a third time with the same plate and cut up lamb and side that had been on there at this point it seemed ridiculous that I had sent this same plate back. I was hungry and my friend had already tried to wait to eat his food as I was waiting on mine to be fixed. The lamb this time was a medium well. I just ate it this time. I didn’t appreciate the server trying to make an excuse by saying “sometimes it’s hard for them to tell if it’s well done because of the bone.” This is supposed to be a 5 star fine dinning restaurant and to me it seems that they should know how to fully cook meat. It is unacceptable to make excuses for poorly served food. There is a thing called a meat thermometer. I will definitely not go back.

Great food, good experience, and quiet mature atmosphere as we celebrated a private 65th birthday celebration
My guy ordered the lamb chops, and he said they didn't disappoint, I had the center cut filet and was equally pleased. There were dollops of sweet potatoes, red cabbage, and green beans. It was barely enough to enjoy.
Good food and ambiance, happy for this experience.

My husband and I go a couple of times a year to treat ourselves on special occasions, and it’s our favorite of all time. Scott and Heather are so fun, and Robin the owner is a genius in cuisine! The sweetest most genuine person you’d ever meet, creates the most delectable dishes. Must try if you haven’t, and if you have, you will return

Some of the best food in the area. However the 90’s decor and incredibly bad service make this place a pass. When we called to complained the staff didn’t seem to give a care in the world.

Excellent service! Went for our anniversary and was far from disappointed. The focaccia bread was the best we ever had, and when we told them about it, they gave us half a wheel of it to take home. I had trout and my wife had salmon and those dishes were fantastic. Highly recommended for having an intimate evening with your loved one.

My wife and I dined here in July 2024 for our anniversary. It was absolutely delicious. One bite of my duck entree sent it to the top of my favorite meals list. Everything we had was good. Even my after dinner cappuccino was top notch. It was so creamy and flavorful, I didn't even want sugar. We're always looking for exciting and fine dining options for our anniversary, and are very happy to have discovered The Marisol.
