Tides Inn Steak & Seafood

I love this restaurant and eat here every time I'm in Greensboro. I ate here again the other night and had a great meal with great service. I had the popcorn shrimp and flounder dinner, and it came out hot. Everything including the fries were hot and delicious. I've been stopping ever since the early 90s, and nothing has changed. We were waited on by Stephanie, and she did an excellent job! Looking forward to stopping by on our next trip to Greensboro in August!

Place has really gone done in the last 5 hrs.
$50 + worth of food. 3 combinations and all fish was tiny. We did take out, wasn't provided any plastic utensils. 1/2 gallon sweet tea was spoiled we couldn't drink it and the potatoe wedges were nothing but fried old baked potatoes with lil to no seasoning coated literally in the same batter as the shrimp.
We weren't provided our sides of slaw, but didn't notice until we got home, and we were NOT going back. Especially since we had to go back for my 1/2 gallon of Sweet tea, even though I asked about it right after she brought the plates to the counter.
Staff could be more friendly and attentive at the checkout as well.
A few months ago dined in with my mother, the waitress was lovely but the food even then was not so great.
I used to really enjoy Tides Inn, but not so much any longer.

The food was excellent.
The customer service got better as my father and I proceeded with our meal.
The dining area was quite pleasant.

I have been a patron since the mid 80s, and even though inflation has caused a price increase the food quality, portions, and service are still fantastic. It is a must if you've never tried it and if you have it will keep you coming back.

Tides Inn has THE BEST fried seafood in Greensboro in my opinion. It is seasoned to perfection, served hot out of the grease, with huge portions.

The wait staff and owner were super friendly.

The atmosphere could use a updated makeover...buuuuttt I really dont care how old the booths are or how outdated the decor is.

The food is delicious!!

They have a repeat customer in me for sure!!

My boil with crayfish was amazing. I just used all the seasoning. Joshua was a great server and makes the best margaritas. The price is reasonable. I prefer more and just crayfish overall great for me!

Best Seafood Boil in Greensboro PERIOD. Way better than red crab. Sauce was amazing, great flavor, mixed drinks was very nice, clean shrimp/juicy crab meat.

I was there today for Mother’s Day, my waitress discriminated me because I’m Hispanic. Guess he thought I didn’t have money to pay. He took care of all the tables but mine. Didn’t hand out bibs or gloves, it was a bother to him that we sat in his table. The food was good pricing was a little high for the service given. Won’t be returning where my money isn’t needed.

The broiled sea scallops I ordered through Uber Eats yesterday was undercooked. It made me sick, luckily my body recovered quick, and I don't need to go to the doctor. You guys just lost one of your loyal customers. Hate to do that, but I need to find another good seafood restaurant around here again 😩.
