We've been eating regularly here for about 3 years. We loved their sushi and their teriyaki chicken. However, recently they have been changing things. They started charging 3% when using a credit card. This is after raising the prices of their food. They have also changed some of the garnishing on the plates that we loved. Lastly, The actual wasabi was a weird blue color this last time. Raising prices is one thing but when you decrease the quality of the food at the same time it just looks bad. We will be trying out some new sushi places around town.

We’ve been coming here for years but recently something has changed. The food tastes different. Gyozas were like burnt, tinted dark brown and taste was masked by an “old oil” taste. Tempura shrimp sushi was “soggy”. Teriyaki sauce in dinner plate was so watered down it barely tasted like teriyaki. The rice (white) seemed to have been microwaved, not fresh. Crusty not steamy. I don't think I will continue to visit because food is quite pricy. Im just not into expensive bland food.

Went in the other day and was told sit where u wish. Sat down and the place had two customers. Waited about 10 min with no service while all the staff was behind the sushi bar or at hostes station talking. Decided I'd leave. Upon exiting the hostes said hope you enjoyed and come again. Made it very clear I never received service and all ur staff is just standing around. She said OK. Lol this place need management. Not sure if the food is any good but service sucked !!!!

I’ve been here in the past several times over the years. Since when did they start charging for using a credit card to pay? 3% of the bill. Not good!

My daughter & I were both very sick after the meal. Service was great & the food tasted great.... but about an hour after eating we both got very sick, we are still terribly ill as of this morning. Very disappointed.

Always a great experience here, whether it’s to-go or in restaurant. We usually go for lunch and the prices are pretty good for a nicer sushi and hibachi place. The servers are friendly, great place for groups, and I would say as kid-friendly as a sushi place can be!
Lunch bento boxes are huge, and my husband enjoys the sushi as well.

I got the “chicken teriyaki” dinner. Option was white rice or fried rice. It is NOT fried rice, its plain brown rice. Also, the chicken does not look or have the texture of chicken. I cant say what kind of meat that is….its nowhere near worth $18 a plate
The place was amazing! The food was great, I recomend going and taking family for dinner, the employes were very kind too, overall it was a delightful experience!

The food and preparation was great, but the taste was offensive. Taste like bad cooking oil. Even the paper from veggie spring rolls were coated in this brown oil. Particularly the teriyaki chicken is where I noticed the bad taste and after taste. I do enjoy chargrilled taste so I’m aware of taste profiles with hibachi. Just don’t taste this aftertaste unless I try low quality Chinese food in an unfamiliar city. Not a good first experience, will def try the sushi on next go around.

If you’re looking for great Japanese food, we highly recommend Wasabi Sushi & Teriyaki off Battleground Ave near Harris Teeter and Rody’s Tavern. The potstickers, sushi, and many other items are fantastic. Our favorite thing on the menu is the Teriyaki Chicken! They have great lunch specials and their dinner portions are substantial. You’ll love it!

been here a few times before and the food is always good. came back last week and i don’t know what happened but it was a mess. the whole time there was this loud bell dinging over and over again from the kitchen nonstop. like literally every minute ding ding ding for no reason.
i’m tryin to eat and relax but all i can hear is that stupid bell. it’s like they don’t care how loud it is out front. i even saw my waitress come out with just our appetizer and the bell dinged again right after like what’s the point it’s just noise
place just feels chaotic now and loud for no reason. food was fine i guess but i couldn’t enjoy it. if you eat here ask to sit far away from the kitchen or don’t go at all if you don’t like noise.
disappointed won’t be coming back anytime soon
great food, no hype just good food.
Marcus was a great server, I’ll be back 👍🏼
