White & Wood is a foodie's dream come true. The menu changes which keeps White & Wood fresh and new on each visit. Menu offerings provide unique opportunities to try innovative combinations and preparation. Every dish is crafted with great care using the finest, freshest ingredients. The presentation is every bit as important as the care that goes into the creation of the dish. Service is impeccable. The staff knows the dishes and are glad to share with you the various ingredients and a how the dish is prepared. It is clear that everyone is a treasured guest and every effort is made to ensure an amazing experience. The wine list is extensive as are the crafted cocktails. Specialty cocktails rotate with the menu. White & Wood is my first choice for a nice dining experience. When friends come to town, this is where I want to take them.

Our dining experience was impeccable! Brandon was the best server who answered all of our questions and demonstrated genuine pride and joy in his work. Cocktails were expertly crafted and plates were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. A true gem!! I wish there was a location in SF so I could go often!

It was a top level. Our server Jaden was amazing. The food was delicious. Jaden spaced everything out perfectly. The cocktails were amazing. You do not see this type of customer service anymore after Covid. GREAT JOB!!!

Birthday dinner, just two of us. Chef's charcutterie platter was excellent as was the beet salad. Extensive wine list. Cabrio La Pietra Chardonnay was excellent, if a bit pricey ($85). Josh was very attentive, as were other wait staff and hostess. A lot of action, as the kitchen is in the dining area, which we enjoy. The "birthday surprise dessert" was, well, a surprise and very tasty. A jewel among the downtown dining options!

We have been here many times over the years. I decided to book a reservation ahead of a show at Tanger. I did not realize that this was the furniture mart week and so the restaurant was packed. While I don't mind a busy restaurant, I was disappointed that the owners jacked up prices (the 3 course was $85 and not usual $69), no happy hour offerings as per usual were available between 5-6pm, the burger (a feature item) was not even on the menu likely as it is a lower price point of $25 compared to the other entrees. While one could order a la carte, it was frustrating as there were no prices listed on the menu. The service was slow (understandably because they were busy) and our plate of eaten oysters sat in front of us for well over 20 min. While we ordered our entire meal by 6pm we did not receive entrees until 7pm. The food was clean, well seasoned, beautifully plated and delicious. Given the delay in food coming out, we had to have our desert packaged to go which we planned to eat in the car on the way to the show. Unfortunately, there were no utensils so we were unable to enjoy it prior to the show and all the frozen components melted. I felt nickel and dimed and given this I'll plan to enjoy a different downtown restaurant before a show.

The service was incredible. One of our party had to take an urgent call right before the meal was served. They tried to keep it warm, but his call went so long that instead of bringing it to the table,they cooked the dish again. None of us expected that, because it was not their fault nor was it requested! I have always been impressed with everything there, from the food and staff's knowledge and treatment of guests. My recent trip to White and Wood was the worst dining experience I've had in quite some time. I invited two friends out & raved about this place only to be mistreated by our server so harshly that he did not return to the table. We had a 5:30 reservation and received our first drinks right before 6. Someone other than our server took our drink order because he was behind the bar busy making drinks. We've worked in the service industry before so totally understood the wait, especially since one of our guests arrived at 6 pm, but then every time the bartender would come to the table he wanted the order immediately and would not stand for anything else. Would walk away if we didn't quickly give an order. We were in the middle of speaking, hadn't even given one full order and decided on a different cheese, and he rolled his eyes and ran off to tell the kitchen to not prepare what he had prematurely submitted. Just overall miserable and not trying to hide it at all. We later had to grab him to order a bottle of wine and during the presentation, he snapped because a wine glass was moved prior to him pouring. Leaned across the table and touched the wall to make a point that he could reach. We were stunned, especially because the point of the glass moving closer was to limit him reaching all over the food. Having his arm in our face. He never came back to the table and our food arrived 15 min prior to us having to leave for the show at like 7-7:15. The filet was overcooked, but instead wait for another we decided to leave. One to not be late but mostly, because it had been such a letdown.

My opinion is that the food was ok, loved the carrot purée that was put on the pasta under the filet which was a strange choice I thought but ended up being really good but the rest was good not great. ambience was crowded, service was great!
