My daughter and I came to have a snack after the park and this place blew our minds. The service was great the gentleman serving us was very nice and helpful. And the bowl exceeded my expectations in every way possible. It was DELICIOUS! Will be coming back!
I typically won’t do under 3 star reviews because I don’t want to hurt a small business but I really feel like the owner needs to hear this. I had mediocre experience (not due to staff) but due to understaffing and poor/ cheap product.
There was only only person working on the Tuesday afternoon I went in which meant I had to wait 5 minutes to have my order taken and another 10-15 for him to make it considering the backlog of orders from the 3 orders ahead of me.
The customers ahead of me had to reorder as their flavors were out of stock.
Once I got my Italian ice (birthday cake) it tasted awful. Not just due to the flavoring (which wasn’t terrible), but due to the stale/ pond water taste of the ice underneath. I paid $5 for my ice which was a huge bummer because I threw it out after a few bites.
I was so excited to try this place but I don’t think I would go back here.
My biggest tip for the owners would be to check the quality of the water they are using to create the ice and maybe hire another staff member or work on efficiency with current staff.
I’m sorry for the poor review but I do believe these are fixable things!
We came here on a Sunday so I am not sure if this impacted the choices that were available. I wanted a cotton candy soft serve and a cotton candy italian ice. We were told that they did not have soft serve and that they did not have cotton candy italian ice. I asked for a couple other flavors and was told they do not have those either. At that point, the employee went through the flavors they DID have which was a smaller selection than what was on the menus posted. I understand that availability fluctuates, but I was pretty disappointed. We ended up getting a small swedish fish italian ice and an orangeade. The small is a generous portion, and the italian ice is great quality. The orangeade was good, too. The prices were reasonable for the portions. Overall, we had a nice time here, but I would love to try other flavors if they are available!
The truck employees are a bit rude. The icees are delicious. Closest thing to a New York City icee if not the same!
I just came from this place on May 3, 2025. It seemed like there was only one person working, and the Italian ice isn’t as smooth. My girlfriend also had hair paper and a wood spine in her Italian ice. Italian ice is still good and I can’t blame the gentleman because he is only one man taking 10 different orders. Incredibly understaffed

Drove 15 minutes to try this place. Both the sign and Google said they were open, but they were actually closed. A heads-up or updated hours would’ve been appreciated.
I get the same açaí bowl every time and it never fails to impress me! Customer service is always a 10/10.
East Carolina Italian Ice has provided top notch customer service they are always very patient and friendly. Their Italian ice is perfect for a treat for both kids and adult, flavorful and fruity. They have the best New York juniors cheesecake and amazing açaí bowls that are topped with a wide variety of fruits. Looking for a healthy snack they got it. Their milkshakes are one of the best I have had in a longtime, they provide flexibility for custom make milkshakes. If you’re late for work and need a quick meal they provide mini-pancakes with toppings of your choice. With all that said my all time favorite is their mangonada.
I’ve been eating for an hour while no employee has been there, they are still open as well

Today was my first visit to East Carolina Italian Ice and I was not disappointed. I ordered Coconut and rainbow Italian ice and Jrs Cheesecake. Everything was fresh made to order. The young men at the register were so polite and helpful as well as the gentleman completing my order. Their menu offers so many fresh varieties of Açaí bowls and shakes. I will definitely come back to try one. Keep up the amazing work!!
