Went to Sculley’s the morning after the ECU night game. The line was to the door and we decided to wait it out. Great decision! Our order was taken by Matt Sculley, the owner himself. Once you order you are assigned a table. The servers were mostly ECU students. The breakfast and lunch menu is pretty extensive. I was pretty hungry so I ordered the Hungry Pirate—scrambled eggs with cheddar, blueberry pancakes, and bacon. I didn’t know what to expect with the cheddar added...
Breakfast spot on a corner in the middle of downtown. The whole street around the place was under construction, which of course was not their fault. There was a wait on a Saturday morning, they said 10 minutes, which was more like 30. When they call your name you go to the register and order, and then they show you what table to sit. Food was out very quickly, so made up for the wait to get seated. All our dishes were delicious. A bit pricey, but not overly. We would go back.
I stopped by The Scullery for the first time recently, and it honestly felt like a place I’d been going to for years. The vibe is super cozy and welcoming, with handwritten menus, local art, and a layout that just feels easy to settle into.
