Must try! Delicious food! We had the chopped cheese sub, kids hot dog and fries, Martinsville hot dog, and PK's checkered flag fries! Slaw was unique and really good! Awesome display of NASCAR memorabilia too. Our daughter had a really awesome experience. She got the classic car add on to the kids meal, which she really enjoyed. The owner also let her pick a bracelet and gave her a bag of popcorn to go! We will be back on our next trip to the beach ?

Excellent BBQ sandwich with slaw and fries. The fries were crispy and hot. They know how to do it! Friendly atmosphere, great service. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. They also have a variety of hot dogs, cheesesteaks, and daily specials.

PK's is the third establishment we have seen in this location in the last 7-8 years. There was Frogman's the OBXbites. We were last at OBXbites in 2018, they were not there for long, but we always liked it. Now we were making a couple of trips up the Caratoke Highway and I was lured by the prospect of a chili dog, so we stopped in for lunch. PK's offer a nice selection of dogs and toppings, with preselected specialties. You can also build your own. I chose the Carolina Dog with chili and slaw, with another side of slaw. Ms T had the Chicken Tender Sandwich with an order of fries. Both of these were excellent. Most importantly, they serve a very good quality dog. I ordered a "snap" dog which translates to natural casing. This is always my choice, and they are getting hard to find. The dog exceeded the bun length, and the chili was generous. Their slaw is unique. It is a very fine grind, one of the finest that I have ever had and I like that. The dressing is not sweet and tangy being more of a straight mayo base. It was on the edge of salty, but worked well on the dog. For future reference, I will probably get just chili and add some slaw from a side order. There definitely will be a stop in my future. The issue will be deciding what to have for toppings. Is see I can get grilled onions and barbecue. Ms T's chicken sandwich comprised two generous pieces of fried chicken and she liked it very much. In fact, she took half of it home. I look forward to a return and wish the owners every success. I love places like this.

My husband and I had The Chicago dogs. They were fairly authentic and tasty. It you're on the Outer Banks and have a jones for a Chicago dog, this is the place to go.

We came from corolla n.c on the island over here to try their chili dogs after reading the reviews online, THEY ARE INCREDIBLE definitely recommend! I'd say best chili dog ever! Their chili is definitely not the usual which makes it exceptional! Wish I would've taken a picture first but it was DELICIOUS!
