“Family has been going to LA Unica for YEARS. We have had them cater 2 graduations for us that guests still talk about how good the food was. Their salsa is the best you will have, hands down. Extensive menu with many dishes you will not find on any other menu, anywhere. They have lengua on their menu that is tender and delicious. If you like heat, try the Bistec con Chile. You WILL sweat!!!! Incredible staff that is friendly and attentive.“

“30 mins in drive thru stuck bc there's no way to leave if u decide u can't wait. I had to be at work at 9pm. I sat for so long, I had to go home, change into my work uniform go to work and then I cook at a restaurant myself. So I couldn't even eat the food I waited so long on. Never ever have I ever sat for so long. I went inside originally was ignored for 10 mins.... dissatisfied is an understatement and I love taco bell IMMENSELY. but today....“

Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac disease/gluten allergy. Separate menu available We had nachos and fajita tacos. Great taste! “Tried Que Onda for a bday celebration around lunch time on a Friday. This specific location wasn’t busy. We were seated right away and the food came out quickly and hot not long after we ordered. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Nachos and was highly impressed. Not only was it a decent amount of food for your money, but it was simply delicious! The service wasn’t all that great and the restaurant shares parking with other businesses. I would recommend trying here although I would try a different location to see if service is better there!“

The shredded beef was awesome - perfectly seasoned and perfect texture. Green and red hot sauces were spot on. Fresh radish and lime accompaniment were perfect. Soup was piping hot and delicious. “My wife and I had dinner at the Charlotte location this evening. We had great service from our server Noah, who was very quick to take our drink order and provided attentive service for our entire dinner. We both ordered a Chimichangas (my wife had the chicken and I had the beef). Both were delicious, well seasoned and served hot. (fwiw) noted the staff were sweeping and cleaning the restaurant tables quickly, after a table turned.“

This chicken was well marinated- fried to perfection and the sauces- 1 avocado salsa and 1 salsa picante were heavenly 😋 they underestimated me as they were unaware I am fluent in Spanish so I quickly changed the interaction ordering my food in Spanish and we both smiled and chatted while I waited for my food. “Las Margaritas is the best Mexican restaurant in Charlotte! The Verde on the Shrimp Enchiladas is a recipe that goes back generations and is so delicious that I crave it weekly. The seasoning on Fajitas is scrumptious! My better half loves the Sour Cream Sauce on the Pollo Con Crème. The Churros are phenomenal. Everything comes in giant portions on giant plates and it’s reasonably priced. The owner Edgar is usually there and his sons and family are all hilarious and very nice.“

“Exceptional Dining Experience at Que Onda Original!

We'd heard rave reviews about the original Que Onda restaurant, and our curiosity was piqued. Although we'd tried many of their dishes at other locations, we were eager to explore new options. The birria torta and birria ramen exceeded our expectations. The generous serving of tender, juicy meat was perfectly seasoned. The drinks were also very amazing and thirst quenching.

What truly stood out, however, was the restaurant's warm and inviting atmosphere. Even though this is the oldest Que Onda restaurant, it still holds its own homey charm - a true testament to the owners and manager's dedication to preserving its authentic character.

We'll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend trying their unique dishes. Service and quality were top-notch!“

“🌮 2 Bros Tacos Rocks! I could eat tacos every day! Lately, we've been on the hunt for new taco carts around town, and we just tried 2 Bros Tacos in Steele Creek. It was awesome! We ordered the pastor and chicken tacos, made with fresh tortillas and topped with onion and cilantro. They came with red and green sauces, and both were super tasty. Plus they gave us radishes and lime slices on the side. It’s in the parking lot of an old gas station at 13920 S Tryon. Good music blasting from a big speaker, plenty of picnic tables for eating outside, and easy parking. The tacos were large—totally worth it at $3 each. They have a big menu, but we stuck with tacos. Definitely adding this spot to our favorites list!“

I had a birria taco and the hubs had a Mexican Ramen dish with beef and mushrooms. Everything was delish! The ramen had a hard boiled egg in it, just YUM.
