The Dancing Turtle is always one of my top must-do’s whenever I’m in Hatteras. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming—it’s the perfect spot to relax and soak in the local vibe. Their coffee is consistently excellent, and the staff is always friendly and inviting. Whether you’re starting your day or just taking a break, this place is a gem. Can’t wait to visit again on my next trip down!
We took the early morning Ocracoke Ferry to Hatteras in search of a mom-and-pop coffee fix and stumbled upon this hidden gem……..

We come to the Dancing Turtle almost every single day during our summer vacation every year. They never disappoint! I always love to choose from their large selection of flavors. The staff is so nice. The atmosphere is great and my dogs love getting their free milk bone when we go each morning. I’m looking forward to my visit again next year.
