Hatteras Sol Waterside Grill

Had the best evening with Hatteras Sol for dinner. The Oysters Rockefeller is unique and delicious. The food overall is exceptional, the staff are warm, friendly, and inviting, and this is an excellent place to enjoy the sunset!

Great selection of whiskies, amongst other selections and knowledgeable bartenders. The food is great. Make it for the sunset.

I really appreciate that they let you adult-size the kids’ meals. Eating out can be tough when you’ve got ARFID or food sensitivities, but this makes it so much easier to get something familiar without judgment. The portions are perfect, and it’s nice to actually enjoy a meal out comfortably.

This was by far the best dining experience I have ever had and our family eats out every Friday and Saturday night. We had a party of 22 and we're there on Sept 27, 2025 right at 5 when they opened, waited 10 minutes for them to get tables together for us. Our waiter was amazing. He got everyone's order correct. He kept everyone's glass full of the beverage of choice without having to ask all while having 8 top across from us. The owner and manager and support staffed followed up and just check in to make sure things were running smoothly.The food was amazing and super fresh. I would give yall 10 stars if it would let me.

Wonderful restaurant! My husband and I both got dishes from the specials menu and they were amazing! Mine was the 3 cheese bison bolognese pasta, and it was better than the bolognese dish from my favorite italian restaurant in Raleigh. Highly recommend!

This has become a staple when visiting Hatteras, and the only place we actually eat twice during our week stay! The food is absolutely amazing, and the carrot cake is by far the best I’ve ever had!

So many excellent dishes: Mediterranean Shrimp and Scallops, Shrimp Carbonara, and the best of all… the Tournedos of Beef & Shrimp Diavolo! The sauce is absolutely incredible.

Take the chance and choose here for dinner one night or the whole week, you cannot go wrong.

Our server Jeremy was top of the line. We had a large party (23) and he still managed our table while having others. Food was incredible, our drinks were never empty, and Appetizers and food came out in what I would expect to be the same as if we were a party of 4. He even boxed our food for us. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits and blue crab dip. We will DEFINITELY be coming every time we are in town.

Food fantastic, service excellent and outstanding views. Depending on when you arrive there's a wait, but get a drink and wait on the outside bar/deck and enjoy the sound and setting sun. Wait staff Jeremy very personable and provides exceptional service as does the rest of the staff. One of our favorite places!

Food is always good. Try the seafood corn chowder. The crab cakes are unlike Chesapeake Bay crab cakes, but they're ok enough. Service is good even during peak times.

Mixed review… Hatteras chowder is outstanding. Our server Jeremy was good. Table of 6, unfortunately the kitchen struggled with cooking a steak to medium rare, after three times the steak finally came
Out enjoyable, ate my steak with cold potatoes while my friends had their dessert. Restaurant didnt even comp my cup
Of soup or my wife’s dessert….. disappointing response to kitchen failure at these prices.

It was a really busy place, the wait was a bit long but we were able to get a seat at the bar fairly quickly. Service was excellent, food was amazing. Definitely recommend!
