I absolutely love this Mario's. I was working in Emerald Isle not long ago and I was so hungry after I finished my shift that I had stopped by a Michelangelo's Pizza. My favorite local restaurant. Family owned Havelock Tradition. This family friendly, 3 generation, easy on the budget, delicious food, kind service, restaurant is truly worth your visit. It may be the longest lasting family owned and operated restaurant in Havelock. That speaks volumes to their quality and service.
We ordered large pizza half Hawaiian, half Meat Lover style with no olives. I hate to say this but I did not like Mario's. I'm hesitant to leave poor reviews, but the crust had bad texture and taste. Unevenly cooked crust. Some spots looking like they were burned, others, raw crust white. The sauce was very unremarkable. Runny.
