The Tavern is a favorite local pub where the atmosphere reflects the personalities of the owners; friendly, warm, and kind. You are always greeted warmly and it's a comfortable, cozy place to meet people and enjoy conversation. There is often live music and they encourage anyone to share their musical abilities in a low-key setting. It is not a restaurant, but they'll make you a pizza if you ask. This is a private club with an annual membership fee (currently $50). If you are not a member, you can still participate by paying a guest fee (currently $5 per visit). I'm not much of a drinker and have never really frequented bars, but I'm very comfortable at the Tavern and enjoy socializing with the new friends I've made. Fran and McRay (the owners) are wonderful folks!

Really unique bar. We were staying in a cabin down the road. Stopped in for refreshments. Owners were down home friendly. Tavern has lots of stuff to look at.

Got stopped by an officer in their parking lot, after a long day of hiking and leaf looking. They were so nice after and let us use theor batbrooms and even gave out son and my husband and I waters. My husband and I will be back for a few drinks, minus the ticket. ????
