Piggy's Ice Cream-Harry's Grille

Food was good but the lady who took our order was not very professional she was rude.She would not quit talking so you could order and when you did order she would question why would you order fries and potato salad. Then we where criticized for wanting a takeout book she said you know how much that cost you should have told me you where going to take it home well I couldn’t get a word in while I was ordering because she would not hush up.

We called in for take out but waited to order until we got there. We were so disappointed with what we recieved. We got Philly steak on potatoes. We live within 5 minutes from there so we figured that would help us get fresh food. What we recieved was baked potatoes that were cut up from the baked potatoes made from possibly yesterday. They had skin on and were bitter. The bell pepper were in inedible and so bitter you had a hard time trying to swallow. I really hated this happened because we have been repeating customers for many years.

I was reslly disappointed in the frys, Cheap frys like you get in any grocery store. You know the cheap , cheap ones. Got a Chuck wagon., very big one, but on a very small bun. Upgrade to better frys and big bunds. Potatoes are cheap give a little more. Very small amount

Loved the atmosphere...memorabilia covers the walls, and the wife and I were tripping down memory lane as we saw various artifacts. The woman serving us was a delight and served us a generous portion of quality ice cream...which is all we had. Can't comment about the rest of the menu, but we thoroughly enjoyed every waffle cone dripping and licking moment of the ice cream.

I ate lunch here earlier today. Now that was good...got the barbecue plate and it was a great value, with plenty extra to eat.

The problem came when I went here later in the day to get ice cream. I was highly disappointed to find out that it was not their own "special brand" which they make themselves, but is just ordered in bulk from some other distributor.

Honestly what's the point in having a "well renowned" ice cream shoppe if you're not making it yourselves? Was hoping for homemade style, as I don't usually partake in ice cream unless it's something unique and original.

Pulled pork plate and husbands sandwich were very bad. The pork was dried out, tough and mostly inedible. We have eaten there for years and had stopped eating there several years back when they raised prices and severely reduced the amount of food you got for the money. Today we decided to give it one more chance. It was horrible. The pulled pork was like trying to chew shoe leather. We left half our food because it was too hard to eat. That is our last time eating there. We will miss the old piggy’s and Harry’s.

Parking lot stays full here, and is always that way.I grabbed a pork platter with beans and slaw and if I hadn't been so hungry, I wouldn't call it an authentic BBQ restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and they are one of the least expensive options in town.

Such a neat place. Alot of seating inside or out. Friendly people and great value on food. Unusual and fun decor and a treat for our if towers to see. And the foods really fresh and good.

Smelled weird inside and outside had a lot of bird droppings
On the plus side they allow dogs, which was great for us.
I found out later on my vacation that many of the places smell because the town flooded a few years back. Everywhere I went I was wondering why all these places smelled musty.
