“I had always wanted to try out the WL so I asked a co-worker to meet me there. It was a very Comfortable & Enjoyable Environment and I look forward to going back when I need a little bit of calming down from the workday - I would be comfortable going alone and visiting with the nice people at the bar.“
“This is the most amazing restaurant, the most friendly staff with excellent food options, everything we have tried so far has been outstanding- Evan and Will have both been our server on multiple occasions and are always very attentive and treat us like family. I cannot forget to mention Tara the bar manager who remembers our drinks each visit , and Lidia who takes care front of the house and Jamie is a fantastic manager. Me and my wife have both worked in restaurants for years, good staff is hard to find and they have it!!!! THIS PLACE IS FAMILY !!!“
“Good tasty food ... great service ... different sports events on several Tvs ... not a bad seat in the house to watch sporting events from.... salad dressing watered down ...very weak on consistency and taste.. mine looked like a Ceasars salad , but was a grilled chicken with honey mustard ... after stirring into salad ... got more but it was still weak tasting !“
“Stopped in for a late lunch today. And man was the whole experience great! First of all the decor is cool with motorcycles etc. Niw let’s talk about the menu…. So many options! We opted for the buffalo chicken sandwich. I got the chicken with the honey chipotle sauce and he got the garlic Parmesan sauce! And wow, both were delicious! The food was well presented and the flavor was on point! They have a great beer selection especially for the price! Daily food specials and drink specials. The atmosphere is fun, with a lot of locals. We had a great time talking with the locals at the bar. Our bar tender Mai was absolutely fabulous! She was friendly and very efficient! She was constantly checking on us and we never went without a drink! Restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. Highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back when we are passing thru again!“
“4 stars but wanted to leave 3.5.My fiancé got the Charlotte cheesesteak and I got the backspin tater tots.First off...the place was quite as a house mouse on a Friday around 12. No music...no TVs...doors shut...kinda dim. U could hear a pin drop...kinda weird.There was probably 7 people total in there including the staff...about 3 staff and 4 customers.Waitress was pretty slow to take our drink order...once we got waters we ordered...food took about 20 mins to come out which seeing as how I didn't think they were busy seemed kind of long.My meal the tots...was ehhhh...so the meal comes with queso cheese...it was anything but that. Tasted exactly like nacho cheese dip from a can or something from a ball game.The pulled pork....I don't know what was going on with that but it bad a strange taste to it...not spoiled but just strange. Overall my meal was a 5 out of 10.Her meal she said was very good and no issues...she also tasted my food and agreed somethings were off.We had seen the TV show and decided to stop bye. I would not come here for lunch...maybe there burgers are there strong suite idk?I will say it did seem like a cool place on a weekend night if you wanted to have some drinks, shoot some pool and listen to the jukebox...but that's imo the extent of it.Not all bad but probably not somewhere to bring friends or family for a lunch bite imo...still shows signs of neglect with floor molding missing...bathrooms look kinda rough...need updating etc...Waitress was pleasant and seemed like she wanted to be there so that was a plus.“
“Wonderful little bar in Newton North Carolina I enjoyed it thoroughly clean for the amount of people that come in and out of there I wouldn't advise taking children as it is an adult facility very very nice staff and very on point and attended to everything you ask the food was good the atmosphere was wonderful what gave it five stars I enjoyed this facility a lot plenty of parking if not in the on the building property the joining streets had plenty of free parking great place to go Newton North Carolina I enjoyed it advise anyone to stop in“
“Awesome place to eat. Outdoor seating/tvs/sound system. The food was great. Fries had a nice crisp on outside yet light and fluffy inside. Bacon burger was delicious. Batter on the fish and chips was light. Cost was just a little higher than some yet what you would expect to pay at a mediocre restaurant in the city. Well worth it for the atmosphere, entertainment when they have live music. Will definitely be returning to try other menu items.“
“My family member invited me to join them for lunch at Backstreets. Despite growing up here, I never knew this restaurant existed until now! I was hesitant at first to try it out because they didn’t have many vegan options. Actually, the only Vegan item I really found was the Asian Kale Salad. Needless to say, I’m happy I did decide to go because that salad was fabulous! It was very large and the flavors in the salad played a tune on my taste buds! Bouncing back and forth between sweet, savory, crunchy, and a hint of spice from the sriracha on the sides… It was the perfect balance for a perfect salad! My husband got the chicken fajita wrap, and he really really enjoyed it. He said it was one of the best wraps he’s had in a long time. My son who is a picky eater REALLY liked his burger, but wasn’t a big fan of the Macaroni and cheese. My husband was though, so take his word for it tasting fresh and made from scratch! My family chimed in and said the grilled chicken is perfection, that’s why they enjoy it as the protein on their salads. We came around lunch time on a week day, and there WAS a wait, but we waited around 10 minutes before we were seated, so that’s not too bad. Once seated and we placed our orders, our food didn’t take very long at all to arrive at the table. The waitresses were very accommodating! If it came to a chain restaurant or Backstreets, I’d definitely choose this place any time. I hope to see that they add more vegetarian and vegan options to their menu soon! If so, I’d become a regular myself! Dishes are around $10-$15 per person depending on what you order. It isn’t exactly a one cash sign establishment, but in this case, it’s a good price to pay if you’re looking for a flavorful dish. On top of that, you’re supporting a small business with a ton of culinary talent! I’d hate for anyone to miss out on that!“
