We love Boca. We were celebrating our anniversary and enjoyed our meal, server was great and as always, had a lovely time
We have eaten at Boca two times, so we're still getting used to the menu. I wish they served the same items that they have on the Lunch menu....because I, personally haven't found anything that I just love š«¤. I ordered the āPersian Falafelā thinking it would be some type of sandwich, but it was more like an appetizer to share. A bit too much to just eat as my meal. I will continue to try different things, though because it's a really nice place.
What a wonderful dinner we had with family. Our server was outstanding! The food was great!
This evening was a birthday celebration. Our server Jimmie was very personable, knowledgeable, & attentive. The small plates & entrees (Bolognese & filets) were delicious. A very enjoyable evening. We'll be back.
Lovely space, terrific food and cocktails, and good live music. Unfortunately, some issues with the service dimmed the experience for us. Our server was great at first, walking us through the concept and menu since it was our first time dining at Boca. Our cocktails were slow to arrive, even though it wasn't very busy yet, because our server had to return to confirm my drink order (which was wrong and I corrected). We ordered several dishes which were timed well, not served all at once but with minimal lag time. Our server left the dessert menu for us and didn't return to our table; after nearly 30 minutes, we asked the host to flag him down so we could pay (at this point we'd given up on dessert and/or additional drinks). He arrived with the check, said "Sorry about that," processed our card, and disappeared again. When we arrived home, my husband checked the customer-copy bill and found that our server had charged us for both my cocktail (a Boca Old Fashioned) AND the one he'd mistakenly entered and corrected (an espresso martini). We were disappointed with the evening not only because it was our first time at Boca due to friends' recommendations, but also because it was our first night out since moving to Hickory. I hope if we choose to return the experience will be in line with the rave reviews we've heard so much about.
I recently dined at Bocca, and it was an amazing experience! The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was outstandingāeach dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the Moroccan Chicken Tagine. The atmosphere was fun and lively as they had live music the night we were there. I can't wait to go back!
If you're looking for a nice evening out on a Friday night, that's not too expensive has a wonderful food and great entertainment. You need to go to Boca. From the moment you walk in you know it's gonna be a great night. The food was great, although we did make some tips about making it even better. For one then brussels sprouts needed a little bit more garlic sauce. The original paella needed to be a little bit more moist. It was great tasting, but it was a little bit dry.
We enjoy Boca. However, last night it was very busy! We waited for drinks. We waited for appetizers. We waited to give our order. Everything was good, except for the sliders. They were too spicy. It would be nice for the menu to point out that entree's are spicy! We passed on dessert due to the fact that everything was taking so long. Some new additions to the menu would be nice!
This was the perfect spot to go before prom. I was on a date (? maybe) and we went to eat before prom. The food was delicious, the server treated us insanely kind even though we had no clue what the menu meant, and made sure to compliment us throughout the meal. He was super funny too. The environment was super romantic and cool and there was a live guitarist at the end which was cool. Our reservation was at 5:15 which was good to beat the other prom crowd. It was a little noisy but the place was filled with teens so it made sense. Food came out super fast too. It was pretty pricey but if you're looking for a good romantic and upscale place, don't miss out on Boca.
We are long time patrons of Boca. Tonight we were extremely disappointed in the quality of the food we chose. The fried lobster tails were presented looking like two dried pieces of chicken fingers. For $38. That was it except for a container of honey mustard dressing. The offering was tasteless. The salmon dish which was a go to item on the menu now had a too hot topping of some kind that added nothing. The portion size has been reduced by about a third compared to past times we have ordered this dish. The only constant was the excellent service from Jimmy. Based on our experience tonight, there are better choices in Hickory for upscale dining.

All of the food appeared to be frozen . I ordered the swordfish and it was tough and dry. The English peas were freezer burned and the calamari looked like fish sticks. I will not go back

Everything was great, but our waiter sucked. Had a big attitude and couldnāt wait for us to leave cause we ordered a bunch of tapas. He also put a baguette on my receipt at $0 charge but gave it to someone else, and didnāt bother to ask if we wanted bread. Highly recommend but ask for a waiter who cares about service and not about tip.

My fiancƩ and I came here for a late valentines date. The food was wonderful! I had the duck confit and he had the crab stuffed salmon. We really enjoyed both. The whipped ricotta appetizer was also wonderful and I would recommend trying it. The service was spot on and the atmosphere was refined but cozy. Perfect for a special occasion. We will be back again someday
