We had paquillo peppers, mussels, shrimp and ricotta bruschetta as appetizers and classic paella for dinner. Everything was very tasty - with the exception of the bottom of the paella. The socarrat (crunchy bottom crust in paella) was burnt. Not crispy - burnt. It's the way par of the paella if done correctly. Service was really great. And all other items were really good.

Food is overall good. The presentation is wonderful. We had the shrimp tacos- the shrimp was kind of overcooked & not really that much taste. Also the beef kabob. The steak (filet) wasn't really that flavorful Also the melon & prosciutto. The melon didn't have much flavor - granted, I realize it's nearly impossible to get good Cantaloupe in January. I had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken, which was very good. The vibe is really kool, our drinks & cocktails were tasty & our server, Olivia, was very attentive & took good care of us.

We were fortunate enough to get the best server at Boca, Jordi is so pleasant and made our meal all That much more enjoyable! As always the food was delicious. I am hopeful that they will make the Steak Tartar a permanent item on their menu!

We were very disappointed in our meal. My husband has the halibut which I do not believe was halibut. He loves halibut and this was not halibut. His food tasted like a salt shaker. Terrible. I had the salmon which was just ok. My friends had the chicken pasta which was very dry and very blah. For the price it was absolutely terrible. The atmosphere is nice but would not recommend the food.

Chef Jairo is amazing as well as our server Jose...food, drinks, ambiance and the tiramisu was on point! Thank you for making Ryan's birthday dinner a wonderful experience....just like our first date here earlier this summer! Such a great place!

The food was good. The service was incredibly slow. We received our appetizers before cocktails and we ordered the drinks before the apps. It was only 2 cocktails straight from the menu so it wasn't anything difficult or special. We had reservations so it's not like we were a surprise or last minute guests. I don't know if they were short staffed but it was disappointing. The food was good or maybe we were just really hungry from waiting. Hopefully it was just an off night for the staff.

Our server recommended the zucchini fries (a special) and they were terrific. The service was great and, as always, the food was terrific. Try the street corn, piquillos and shrimp tacos.  I asked the bartender if she could make a mocktail with cranberry juice and she whipped something up, not on the menu. It was delicious!

The food was fantastic, the ambiance was very relaxing, the menu had a very good selection of dietary preferences, and there was a good selection of drinks. The prices were a bit high, although they could have been excused if the service wasn't so bad. Our waiter was rude, rarely seen, and when he did make an appearance, it was delivering our food, never asking or observing if we needed anything. The only time he took for us was to explain his Peruvian background and the history of the restaurant. We will not be back.
Had a meal with old friends and had a wonderful time. We started with 5 different tapas, all of which were excellent. Then we had various mains, salads, and more tapas. The food was all excellent. Service was attentive without being overbearing. They have a reasonable selection of draft beers and wines by the glass. Overall, this was an excellent evening.

Food was average. Wait staff was polite but not really above average. The balance of my party felt differently than me. I am an out of town guest to Hickory. I hope I will be in Hickory again but will not eat at Boca 😢

What a great find halfway between Asheville and Winston Salem. We met friends for dinner and it was wonderful. Great tapas and paella and pizza. Definitely will go again on our way back from the Charlotte airport. Not too far of I 40, so pretty convenient!
