UPDATE - my previous 2 star rating (below) was when they first opened. Today 5/9/25 I am changing my review to 1 star only b/c it won’t allow me to enter ZERO stars. I have been back twice since they opened. Both times my take out order was wrong! Today is the 3rd visit…this is the most unprepared store EVER! They promoted “buy 1 get 1 free” on their large to go containers. Then they conveniently run out of the most popular flavors by 3:00. 4 visits and each time it gets worse! End of my rant. Really disappointing.
I was really excited about the opening. I waited until the 2nd night hoping the line wouldn’t be too long. The line was long but it moved at a good pace (15 mins in line). They were out of Fruity Fran at the quick bites (to go pre packed containers they sell next to the register). They said they had enough to make a small order to go. I paid for it & the small Barbie-Q. I then waited another 25 mins for the order. The employees & the other customers waiting were all friendly. The restaurant was clean. I did not open it before leaving. There wasn’t a label on the outside. My mistake! I realized it was not Fruity Fran as soon as I took the 1st bite. Unfortunately, I was already home. It was Fancy Nancy & I hate pecans! The Barbie Q was great! I was just disappointed b/c Fruit Fran is my favorite. 40 + mins & $8 in the trash. Check your order before you leave….

I’ve been coming here for work lunches and with my fiancé since they opened. And all I have to say is that it’s amazing. I get the same thing every time and I’m never let down. I feel full and good about myself after eating which is nice. The staff is always so nice and friendly.

Chicken Salad Chick honored veterans with a lovely meal on Veteran’s Day that was very much appreciated. As always, the chicken salad was wonderful and the soup was tasty. Their food is always consistent and you can tell the nice owner of the franchise cares about her business. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. I’m looking forward to the Morganton store opening.

Wow! Everything was great! Food tasted great, place was very clean, pleasant customer service and atmosphere was very relaxed. We needed more healthy restaurants in Hickory. Keep up the good work!
